Panadería La Borinqueña — Restaurant in Caguas

Overhype, overpriced, and not that good. I'll start with what I liked, the maizena. That's it. The cuban eh. The pasteillos de carne were dry, bland. The relleno de papa, too salty, not good. Don't buy. The octopus salad is very disappointing. Tough and overly garlic. It's just not worth the price. Now the service....we asked a few people there how much is the octopus salad per pound. No one could tell you a price. I got you. It's approximately 20 dollars a pound. We paid around 15 for around 3/4 pound. I promise you, it's not worth it. I understand why the prices are escalated compared to others in the area. You have a huge place and have to scale the prices to make for the overhead. I get it. But if I am going to pay more, I want my food to match that price too....

1rst & Last time me and my wife go there. I really don't know where to start! We think it's probably because it is sunday because; Tables were all dirty with food leftovers, both trash cans on the middle isle were full to the top, people just using wifi without consuming from the store (Kinda like Starbks), The lady that attended us was also unhappy (Not customer friendly), dirty restrooms including the ladies wich my wife told me there wasn't even paper to dry her hands ohhh and last but not least the edge of our table got her new shirt all stained. My Pastrami sandwich was loaded with Mayo...ONLY GOOD THING 4 ME AND HER WAS THE SWEET BREAD FROM OUR SANDWICHES. So...

Everytime I visit Caguas I fall more and more in love with it. This was the fist time we'd stopped by this panaderia and I was blown away by it.

First the staff were stunningly efficient. Everyone was in motion assisting a customer or doing something. No one was sitting around playing on their cell phone. The line seemed long when we first entered but it took hardly any time to get us through it and our order placed.

The food was wonderful, I would eat here everyday if I could. And the community was terrific! The friendliness of staff and customers made it feel like this is the sort of place you...
