The fried pork belly was everything you want in a fried pork belly! Crispy hot and melt in your mouth! Do you know it is served with lemons to squeeze on it? I never would've done that on my own. I have never had a plantain before. These were fried in a perfect sugar char like a creme Brule banana. They gave us a cuban coffee that was so similar to what we love in Turkiye that my husband drank most of it and he has never been a coffee fan! What a little hidden gem this restaurant is I decided to give Them a try and Boy Am I glad I did because the food is absolutely delicious. The Owner freshly makes every single dish to order and even drives out of town to ensure She has the right type of bread for Her delicious sandwiches. I decided to try the ropa vieja and I got it with the yucca with mojo and mixed vegetables and it was delicious. The meat was tender and oh so flavor and the yucca with mojo is buttery and delicious and the mixed vegetables add a delicious freshness to the dish.
