Good Times Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Caledonia

We had Good Times cater our October 5, 2024 wedding and were beyond thrilled with everything! Sarah Glassrud was incredible from beginning to end. They were recommended to us by a previous wedding. I had researched many caterers and was incredibly impressed with how this restaurant handled everything. We had a FREE tasting where we could choose ANYTHING on the menu and they would make it for us and whomever we wanted to bring. Everything was homemade down to the salad dressings. We took our daughters and were offered free drinks while she brought out our food in courses. It was served family-style and I cannot tell you enough how delicious this food is. She then sent it all home with us when we were done. For FREE. We chose buffet style, 2 meats (stuffed chicken breasts and beef tenderloin tips), red skin garlic mashed potatoes, oven roasted green beans, strawberry poppyseed salad and homemade rolls. Price? 17.50/plate!!! And? we got to take home any leftover food. We didn't get a chance to take our food home because the horrible venue owners (Berwood Hill Inn) threw it out. Sarah's staff was incredible. They had a gluten-free, dairy-free dinner ready for my niece, which she said was incredible. Every single guest at our wedding came up to us and said it was not only the best wedding food they'd ever had, it was some of the best food they'd ever had! When Sarah found out the venue threw our food away, she asked me to please make a reservation at their restaurant, email her that it is us and she will remake our wedding dinner for Ryan and I for FREE. Honestly, I cannot say enough about this experience. Class Act

Because of the awesome experience, my husband and I have eaten there twice since and the food continues to be incredible. Their ribeye is seasoned and super juicy. The fried chicken is light and very tender. Their salad bar and homemade soups are delicious no matter which one we try! Their service is also totally on-point. This is our new favorite down-home place to go to, even though it's 45 minutes away...

Good times ? I certainly did not have a good time ! After ordering a pizza over the phone we arrived to have our pizza we told them we were there to have our pizza . They said ok and asked what we wanted to drink we all wanted water was all thought that was simple enough . Nope ? After ten more minutes of waiting our pizza arrived it had sat in the kitchen I think all of the 10 minutes we waited not only that she hadn’t given us a plate or our water we had asked for 10 minutes prior . We started to eat our pizza and noticed the waitress was out with orders taking new ones that is and not bringing us our water it was not until we were almost done with our pizza when she arrived with our water ! Wow ! Think she had to go to the creek to get it !! Talked to someone at the establishment later that evening and she said that her employee stated differently ! Is t the customer always and I mean always right ? Not in this case !! Have waited more tables than this employee had and there is no excuse for this ! I probably will NEVER eat at this establishment because the customer is...

The food is good but when you come, wait to be seated, you shouldn't have to wait almost 10mins while the 2 employees there sit behind the bar and talk while staring at you. We sat ourselves eventually because I'm not going to sit and constantly wait when they are not busy. There was 1 other person sitting down in the restaurant part besides us. The catfish dinner is super good but that's the only reason I would go if I really wanted it close to home. I will just drive to La Crosse or somewhere else for better service. This isn't the first time I've come in and just stood there waiting while employees...
