This Jack's is the worst fast food place I have ever been to, and certainly the worst Jack's location. My son and I were coming back from a dog rescue last week and it was late, so we wanted to stop at the Jack's by the Shelby County Airport to get some food. We pulled up to the speaker at 8:30 p.m. and tried to order chicken dinners. The young woman on the speaker was either incompetent, stoned, or deliberately trying to make fun of us. Simple things like "the two-piece chicken dinner" she didn't understand. She'd ask, "Do you want just the chicken?" I asked what came with it, and she didn't know. I told her that on the sign it showed that it came with sides. Then she said, "That's just with the dinner." I told her I knew, that we were trying to order the dinners. I asked her what sides were available. (That was not a dumb question on my part, because sometimes they are out of something.) She kept repeating herself. I finally told her to stop, then another female came on the speaker and was clearly mad at me. She said, "Just pull around." We pulled around. There was no one in front, or behind us. We pulled up to the window, which was open. There were three employees at the window. The woman who was wearing the grey pants and polo said something, then all three turned their backs to us! I called to them, but they ignored me. After a minute my son said for us to leave. I sent an e-mail to Jack's from their web site the next morning. A woman called me from Jack's and said that was one of her stores. I told her what happened, and she said the woman in gray was the manager, and offered to give me a dinner to make up for it. She asked which locations of her's and what time, so we agreed on the Jack's in Alabaster at 1 p.m. I drove there and they knew nothing about it! The manager got on the speaker and said, "Do you have like a coupon, or something?" I told him no, that the woman from Jack's was supposed to have called her. While I was still there I tried to call the woman from Jack's. I called twice. She didn't answer, and her voice mailbox was full! I went home and called Jack's customer care to leave a message. A young woman from their corporate office called me back. She took my complaint and said she'd have one of her superiors contact me. That was LAST week! Since then, the original woman I spoke and the second woman have not called me back, nor has a superior from Jack's. I have called several times since then, and no one has returned my calls! If this is the way they treat a life-long customer I don't need them! It's bad enough that they had embarrassed me in front of my son, but when they send me on that wild goose chase to Alabaster they made me look...

"I'd like 2 steak biscuits, side of gravy and a chocolate shake please"
"Pull around"
I get to the window after nearly 15 minutes because of the line of cars in the drive through only to find out that the women in the store are laughing and cutting up about some guy they know and playing on their phones. They then proceed to hand me a coke instead of a shake so I say "I ordered a chocolate shake and 2 steak biscuits with a side of gravy", she turns around, laughs about it and says "this the one with the shake" and then hands me a vanilla or some other kind of white shake. "I said I ordered a chocolate shake, 2 steak biscuits and a side of gravy. This is white so it's not chocolate." She takes it from me, sets it down, goes in the back and a few minutes later comes back and hands me a chocolate shake and a bag of food. Should have checked it, but I didn't. I get home and it's 2 sausage egg and cheese biscuits. Can't eat egg and can't eat sausage. $13 to sit in a line for 20 minutes and continuously be handed the wrong shakes and food then get home and find out i cant eat anything they gave me because the people inside are more worried about what some guy they're talking to is saying. No wonder I sat for 20 minutes in the...
Read moreLeaving one star after my second visit here. The first time, I came inside at 9:30 am. The lady standing at the register was on the phone arguing with somebody. After she hung up, she was obviously upset, but took my order. I ordered a chicken biscuit combo, and a 2nd chicken biscuit. I received the food but no drink. Had to wait and ask because no one was at the counter at that point. The sweet tea urn had unsweetened tea in it, so I just poured that out and got Coke. The first biscuit I opened was a pork chop biscuit. The 2nd one was chicken, but was overcooked and hard. Just a bad experience. I gave them a second try just now at 8:30 am, and the experience was no better. The same lady at the counter, and she was very rude. She offered no greeting, just a very short 'for here or to go?' She asked for my name, and as I started to tell her she shouted Never mind! and walked away. What?! I ordered a double gravy biscuit. While I was waiting, people were coming inside that had used the drive thru, complaining that their orders were wrong or they had food missing. In my order, I received a biscuit and a half, with very little, very watery gravy. I'm amazed by the poor service...
