Clint’s Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Calhoun

My chicken strips were good, fries were so-so. My family says theirs was good, they had the hamburger steak special and tenderloin sandwich (which was good sized but not huge) It is a limited menu, one page, on one side, some of which is breakfast, that they only serve till 10:30. They were out of burgers, and that left us with very limited choices. We understand, though that they are a small local business and are relatively new as well. So a limited menu and supply issues are understandable. The service was very good, she was attemtive and kept our drinks filled and cleared our plates. There's 2 decent sized T.V.s, three large round tables for 5 and several booths plus the small bar. It is well lit and decorated with Chiefs photos and old timey Budweiser signs. They also serve pie and soup of the day. My dad said the coconut cream was good. Oh, and the restrooms were very clean. Give em a try if you're in the area and want some down...

Stopped in on Sunday to have breakfast, first time trip. To start was told out of gravy, coffee was weak and no silverware at table, waitress was nice but over whelmed? There was only about 8 people in the restaurant not counting my party of 2. We ordered our meal and waited and waited ect .........., After 40 mins and 4 cups of coffee, we asked waitress about our food. When she went to ask the cook aka the owner , we over heard there conversation and the owner with attitude says to her don't know what to tell you they have 4 orders ahead of them. Upon waitresses return we where informed that it would be an hour before we got our food!!!!!! Needless to say we declined to wait and had to go ATM and pay 3 dollar fee to pay for 3 dollar coffee. We had out of town relatives in for a short visit. They wanted to eat somewhere local as they were from the city. We had been to Clints before and remembered that it was pretty good. We decided to go to Clints. that was a great decision. The service was very good. Three of us had the tenderloin. Two had sandwiches, which they could not finish due to the size of the sandwhiches and one had rhe tenderloin dinner. They may have been the best tenderloins that anyone of us had ever had. Not only were they large, but the breading wasn't overly heavy. Everything we had was very good. Glad we went there and will differently...
