We had a mixed experience at North Indian Flame Bar & Restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing excellent service that made us feel welcome. For the average person seeking Indian food, the offerings here are great, but I have some specific thoughts on what stood out and what fell short. The dal makhani was bland to me—it was decent but lacked the rich, authentic flavor I expect from this dish. The paneer sabji had an excellent curry base, but the paneer itself was undercooked and not well-seasoned. The okra sabji was tasty, but I was expecting a stir-fried version rather than a tomato-based curry, which wasn’t quite to my taste. Overall, I’d rate the curries a 7/10. The rice was fluffy, though some grains felt slightly undercooked, but this wasn’t a major issue for us. The naan was a highlight—I highly recommend the garlic naan, as its texture and flavor were superior to the regular or butter naan. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture of it. The samosa chaat was well-flavored with properly seasoned chickpeas, earning a 9/10, though I wished it had more green chili to make it spicier. The standout dish was the chilli paneer—it was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spice for us. They offer three spice levels, and the medium heat in the chilli paneer was spot-on. For dessert, the rasmalai was fresh but didn’t impress, so I’d give it a 5/10. Overall, we were satisfied with our experience and would recommend North Indian Flame to anyone looking to try...

The staff was very nice, they let us sit outside and gave us water and plates. The water, which was very nice and refreshing in the hot weather of Atlanta, came in a nice fancy cup, which added to the beautiful atmosphere of the place. The images of the Indian food ahead of me were making my stomach grumble. I liked the blue lights inside, as they gave a warm feeling to the place. The tv had nice butterflies on it, which we watched as we waited for our food. The ceiling had a very intricate design, which I appreciated. Next, the food. The food was played beautifully, and the curries looked appetizing and delicious. The biryani, bismillah, was out of this universe. The beautifully flavored rice cooked with aromatic spices and soft chicken thigh pieces, all brought together by the delicate flavor of the fried onions, made my day. The naan was too good. The garlic pieces were fantastically proportioned to the size of the naan, and the bottom of the naan was extremely crispy. The top layer was so soft, just soft enough to soak the goodness of the exquisite curries. The waiter was really nice, as he gave us free ch ai, which was spiced with just enough cardamom. The music was fantastic, as they played all my favorite beats of the 80s and 90s Bollywood songs. As I headed out the amazing restaurant, I noticed that there was handicapped parking, which I really enjoyed. Overall, do visit this restaurant once in...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ North Indian Flame Bar & Restaurant is hands down the best place for authentic North Indian food in Calhoun and the surrounding area! The owners are originally from North India, and you can truly taste the authenticity in every single dish.

We ordered Chicken Karahi, Goat Curry, Paneer Kulcha, Butter Naan, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti, Raita, Mango Lassi, and Masala Lassi, and everything was absolutely perfect. The Chicken Karahi was rich and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The Goat Curry was tender and cooked to perfection, and the Paneer Kulcha was soft, cheesy, and packed with flavor. The fresh naan and tandoori roti were spot-on—soft, warm, and exactly how they should be. The food also comes with complimentary rice on the side, which was a great addition.

The raita balanced the spices beautifully, and both the Mango and Masala Lassi were refreshing and authentic, just like you’d get in India. The prices are very reasonable—better than most restaurants in Atlanta—and the ambiance of the restaurant is amazing, making it a perfect spot for both casual dining and special occasions.

If you’re craving REAL North Indian food, this is the place. Absolutely 10/10—highly recommended!
