Brasserie 513 — Restaurant in Califon

Delicious local place with many gluten-free options! We had dinner here on a weeknight and its safe to say we'll be back, particularly for special occasions!! We started with stuffed bacon-wrapped jalapenos--probably the best I've had. My husband ordered a special: filet mignon with gorgonzola cream sauce. The meat was absolutely top-notch and cooked to perfection. I ordered tagliatelle fra diavolo. The pasta was tasted fresh and was cooked well; the seafood was fresh and the sauce was deliciously spicy without being overwhelming. Service was attentive and expert. Also, my husband is gluten-intolerant; the server (and I suspect the owner or manager) was able to tell him which dishes were possible to make gf. We were impressed with the numerous options (including gf pasta), and clearly they know their stuff, because my husband did not get sick. We really appreciate it when small local places go out of their way to ensure dishes are truly gf--it can't be easy. If I could give 6...

Update: 11/8/2025: Still have NOT had a bad experience or meal here. This place is a little gem tucked away in Califon, NJ. Last night, delicious salad, entrees and dessert. Linguine Bolognese and Filet Mignon with mashed and veggies were delicious. Great service. Live music last night. And not crowded. Try it! Let me know if you agree with me.

Can't believe we've never been here. This is a hidden gem. Food was delicious. Only problem was the waiters needed some personality. They were a bit drippy and unhelpful with suggestions. But, service was good and the food made it worth it....

I pick a Italian Restaurant in this area Califone. NJ . Great area. I wanted to STAY !!! I ordered a calii cheeseburger mayo ketchup 🍅 Tomatoes. . Wow JUST WOW!! THE BEST TASTING CHEESEBURGER IN THE WORLD. BETTER THEN MY SPOT IN MONTCLAIR NJ .. THE STAFF IS EXCELLENT I NEVER FELT UNCOMFORTABLE HERE. I.WAS TREATED LIKE FAMILY . THANK YOU OSCAR AND ALL STAFF.
