I'm a SKEPTIC when it comes to restaurants and GOOD FOOD these days! Living in my new rural area, finding GREAT food has become a little challenging. This former SF City girl is USED to maaany choices when it comes to good cuisine. Welll...a client told me to stop at THIS restaurant. Hmmm, ok ill give it a TRY🤔 Walking IN...excellent vibes, smells and atmosphere 🥰 The OWNER was on site and EXTREMELY friendly...I saw that He and HIS WIFE established this place🥰 The menu choices...OMG! Since I COULD NOT EAT IT ALL...I tried their Honey Chicken Wings😋 a vegan pizza option and a berry shake🤔🤭 DELICIOSO DELICIOUS YUMMY...whatever you want to call it...IM A NEW CUSTOMER 😇 IF you are ANYWHERE near this small town of MIRANDA..stop here for good food to fuel the rest of your day in the REDWOODS!! WELCOME EVERYONE! P.S. This business owner does not understand how THIS will help them..so IF you read this and go to this restaurant...TELL THEM NIKKI SENT YOU😘 LETS SEE...how much IMPACT this review can have for a small town AMAZING ESTABLISHMENT! Thank YOU😘🫠🫠❤️‍🔥❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

I was happy to find a nice cafe with good food in a area with limited places to eat and stopped in three times for dinner. The cafe specializes in pizza and calzones with a menu that includes burgers, pasta, sandwiches, soup, and salad. I reviewed the menu and selected spaghetti with two meatballs, and a blueberry smoothie. The meatballs were a separate charge at $5.50 for each one. It took over twenty minutes for my order to arrive on a busy Monday. The spaghetti and meatballs had good taste and were not overcooked, with a sauce that was flavorful. I returned the next night and had a Bigfoot Junior Burger with bacon, pulled pork, and a one-third pound patty. The burger has a nice flavor with the combination of the meats. The food is a little expensive and the meatballs were a separate charge. Located on the Avenue of the Giants in Miranda with a statue of Bigfoot in front. A nice place to stop for a bite to eat with friendly service, good food, and a fun atmosphere with a Bigfoot theme.

While the food at this restaurant is not generally anything memorable or worth writing about, their grotesquely unethical charging practices are worth noting. Given the limited vegan-friendly choices in the area, I went to the cafe and asked if they could make me a veggie burrito (standard in most breakfast menus but not offered here). She replied yes and proceeded to charge me (without actually telling me) for every ingredient she put into the burrito regardless of the fact that she charged me for the full cost of a breakfast burrito—but without any of the ingredients in it. I was basically charged $10.95 for a flour tortilla, $1.50 for avocado, and $0.50 for each of the other ingredients. How greedy is this establishment? Why penalize a customer for not wanting meat, eggs, or cheese in a burrito? I’ve attached the check—see for yourself. I will never return nor will I recommend this place to anyone I know.

Delicious burger, made to order. Good, crisp fries, mustard and green hot sauce already on the table, ready to go. Nice selection of beers, but there ain't no list, you just gotta go on in and look for yourself. Or do like my brother did and ask the waitress what she's "got in the way of a Hef." A what? "Like, a Hefeweizen? It's like a summer blah blah blah." Our server didn't speak this particular dialect of High-Falutin Craft Boy Hipsterese, and God bless her for it. Gotta translate: "He'll have a dadgum Blue Moon for Pete's sake." And I'll have the last two minutes of my life back. Me myself, I went for the Eel Creek amber, and it did right by me. The glass of Blue Moon came with an orange slice earring, nice touch. Well, I slipped an onion necklace roundabout my bottleneck so as I could feel fancy, too.

The service was good, and the servers were something else. One in particular, the one who welcomed and seated us—one of the most beautiful things I saw out there in all of California. Forget Yosemite, I mean she put the Redwoods to shame. We was a party of five and she offered to move a whole table for me. I said just a chair'd be fine by me, so she moved a chair for me, and boy if I could I'd move the Sierra Nevadas for her, lemme tell you. They started playing Hello, Mary Lou on the stereo, and boy did that strike a chord with me, I said Hello, Mary Lou,...

If you are driving sout heading to garberville or beyond and you are hungry for super good food, stop at this place to eat super good food! We stopped by the second time yesterday. The mushroom burger was cooked to perfection but the jalapeño burger we had the week prior was also cooked to perfection with a little spice which made the burger the juiciest and best tasting burger I have eaten in a resturant for a long time. The fries were battered and were super good as well. We also had a half and half pizza and one half was the Azteca. It also had jalapeños, with a perfect balance of pepperoni and cilantro and garlic. The crust was by far the best crust in Humboldt county. The crust was thin under the ingredients and puffy around the edges. I typically do not eat pizza crust, however, I tried a bite the crust was so delicious and I could not stop eating it. The chiefs are talented and super friendly and all the staff were super nice and kept our water glasses full. We warmed up the left over pizza in an air fryer for dinner and it was super tastey. I even ate the last piece for breakfast the following day. There also is a gift shop next door with alot of cool items to buy. If you have a chance drop by for lunch, you will not be disappointed! Keep up the awesome cooking! We will definitely be back many more times...
