My wife and I were excited to eat here on our anniversary trip. We got oysters, Cajun catfish and shrimp scampi. The catfish was a special. The oysters were very good, nothing was wrong with those. The local beers were also great. The entrees, not so much. My shrimp scampi was overloaded with everything other than shrimp and pasta. Too much oil, too much garlic (which doesn't seem possible,) and too much dried parsley. The pasta was also just slightly overcooked. The only thing more disappointing about the flavor of my dish was the idea that I had to pay $30 for it. My wife, who worked in the food industry for 15 years, said the catfish was cooked properly but that the flavor tasted as if whoever cooked it had never tasted Cajun food before. It was smothered in a sauce that did not look appetizing and apparently didn't taste great either. Also her broccolini had not been cleaned properly and her tater tots (they ran out of mashed potatoes) were greasy all the way through. I thought the service was good though, right up until the waitress asked my wife if she'd like another beer and then never brought it. We did not bother staying for dessert because we'd had enough disappointment after a lovely...
Read moreThe boyfriend and I came here on a lunch date. The place is well decorated but I was disappointed in the seating choices. The only comfortable looking seating was the couch by a fire. We ended up sitting at a bistro table with stools. I was a little surprised at the menu's lack of food because I was confused and thought it was a restaurant and not a tapas wine bar. My boyfriend was excited at the beer choice but since I don't drink wine or beer, I settled for water, with ice! We ordered the charcuterie and cheese board (Mix it up!) which was pretty decent. I really enjoyed the fig jam and the brie. We also ordered the chicken fingers with fries and teriyaki sauce. I'm sensitive to spiciness and was surprised that there was heat to the sauce! The fingers and fries were fried and salted perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place for a first- time date or a group of friends who want to drink beer/ wine and nibble. I would not recommend it for a...
Read moreThis restaurant is home to the best steak I have ever had! If you are even halfway thinking about going here stop reading this review and go now! Get the ribeye steak and you can send me a thank you card later. Also, the smoked duck on the charcuterie board is divine! I love to sample different local eateries while on vacation. Seldom does a place warrant eating at multiple times on the same vacation. We ate here twice and I personally will dream about the day that I can eat here again. The service and atmosphere are also excellent. Seriously, stop reading this, you are missing out on one of the best dining experiences of...
