I practically live across the street and I'm sorry I went here. When I first moved into the neighborhood I read the reviews on how bad this place was and ever since I always drove over to the one on Elkhorn Blvd. I was lazy and got lucky once, so I figured I'd try my luck again. That was the wrong thing to do. I ordered a 20 piece chicken tenders and was asked to pull around because they were making them fresh. They brought them out in a reasonable amount of time, which I thought was great, but when I got home and opened them up, none of the 20 were anywhere near fresh. These were obviously old and barely warm. Why did I have to wait for this?? I could have and probably should have gone back but it was late, and I was tired and hungry. So, I picked out the best (about 8-10 pieces) and ended up throwing the rest away. Maybe there's a difference between the lunch shift and the dinner shift, but I don't care to find out. "Fool me once..." Rain, shine, breakfast or late night, I will continue to drive over to the Elkhorn location, like I've been doing. I can only speak for myself, but I've never received bad food or service from the Elkhorn location. They've earned my customer loyalty. So... To the Elkhorn location: I'm sorry and I regret not coming to you. You've always been good to me, so I'll be seeing you again soon. Yes, that's a 20 piece chicken tenders w/ honey mustard & ranch. To the many reviewers who posted warnings about this location: I'm sorry I didn't listen. I FAFO the hard way. Lesson learned. To this Watt...
Read moreThis franchise should be named "Carl's Jr take and bake". I have been to this CJ's a number of times over the past few years and have never been satisfied with the food. I work on call 24/7 so it is convenient as they are always open. Maybe it is the time that I stop in which is usually midnight to early a.m. hours, but without fail, the simplest of items from the menu such as the western bacon cheeseburger are always delivered to me cold. I live around the corner and understand that it will lose some heat while commuting .25 miles, but every burger or chicken sandwich I have ordered always has a rigid slice of cold cheese. If the meat was warm the cheese would melt and conform to the meats shape, yet I always have cold burgers with cheese so rigid that the corners break off. I was so irritated last time I got another cold meal that I emailed the corporate headquarters, their reply stated that I would be contacted by the local management. This was in May 2012, I am still waiting. Luckily there is another franchise not too far away on greenback that always...
Read moreAfter my recent visit to the Carl’s Jr. on Watt Avenue, I felt compelled to share my experience. For nearly $20, I expected a simple fast food meal done right—but instead, I was met with a series of frustrating oversights.
First, it’s apparently too much to ask that a soda cup be properly sealed. The lid was barely attached, resulting in a mess before I even got a sip. As for the fries—tragically inedible. Either stale, overcooked, or just neglected, they were nothing close to the hot, crispy side I was hoping for.
To make matters worse, the automated ordering system lacked any sense of clarity or convenience. It felt impersonal and confusing, and honestly, it just made the whole experience feel robotic and frustrating.
The one redeeming factor was the young lady working the window—polite, patient, and clearly doing her best to keep things afloat amid the chaos. Her professionalism stood in stark contrast to the rest of the visit.
All in all, for the price and the poor execution, it was a highly disappointing experience. Carl’s Jr., you’ve got...
