Carnitas La Piedad Taqueria — Restaurant in California

I absolutely love this place. I have been going here for breakfast and dinner for about 4 years now and they consistently have fast and friendly service. Their breakfast burritos are so flavorful, they don't even need the salsa but the green salsa is wonderfully tangy and the red is nice and spicy and smokey. I highly recommend the Patron so you get bacon, chorizo, and ham in one burrito. They have some of the best tortillas in Fresno.

Their family meal deals are also really affordable and the Meats are always tender and juicy. I really like the carnitas and adobada. Their tacos are affordable and you can grab some taco dorados as a little snack while you wait. I like getting to watch them cook on the flat top from my seat and seeing a huge pot of chili Verde bubbling away right behind the cashier counter - it makes me feel like I'm in a family kitchen. Communication , quality, and customer service needs to be improved. The food was wrapped poorly leading to a lot of oil leaking out of the bag and making a mess. Some items were missing from my order as well. I couldn’t even check what I was charged for since the receipt that they gave me is generic and only gives the amount spent. I made it clear that I wanted a whole bag of tortillas and instead received tortillas in aluminum film, to list an example. I paid $80 for my order. You would expect everything to be pieced together accurately and well considering the cost of the order. I had to go back once to get my whole order. I was told I had everything the first time and left only to notice a lot was missing. I noticed again that I was missing items but did not bother going back this time. Food was alright, honestly came here from a suggestion off of TikTok. Tried the Birria Egg Rolls, quesabirria tacos, and carnitas tacos.

The egg rolls were alright not worth the hype, had too much oil and flour but I understand it's fried egg rolls, just wasn't for me. They come in an order of 4.

The Quesabirria tacos were good, not thee best but they were alright.

The carnitas tacos did ruin it for me though. Was expecting them to be good especially since they're named after that. But probably my mistake for going late in the evening, carnitas were a little hard and the tortilla was stale and hard as well.

Overall it was alright, not as good as I was hoped it was going to be. But I don't know what they put in their onions, but damn they were good, found myself enjoying that way more than I needed to.
