Dandy's Ice Cream in North Highlands is hands down my favorite Mexican ice cream shop in Sacramento. Every time I visit, I'm blown away by the delicious flavors and amazing service. So far, I've tried the milkshakes, raspas, and the banana split ice cream - all of which were delicious. The ice cream is rich and creamy, and the flavors are unique and bursting with flavor. I can't wait to go back and try the other items on their menu! What really sets Dandy's apart, though, is the people who work there. They are all so friendly and welcoming, and they really go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. The service is truly amazing. Overall, if you're looking for delicious Mexican ice cream in Sacramento, you have to check out Dandy's. The ice cream is amazing, the service is great, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a sweet treat!

This is a hole in the wall I found through other reviewers so I thought I'd give it a try. The desserts were good. My only complaint is that the menu is hard to read and has been crossed out with a black marker multiple times. The lady didn't understand me so she wasn't able to answer any questions. I had someone with me that is Hispanic and even he couldn't make heads or tails of the menu. Had I been able to understand what was in each item, I would've ordered something. Since I couldn't, only the people with me ordered and they said the strawberries were old but other than that, good desserts.

This use to be my favorite place but seems like their quality is cheaper. I got a mangoneada and I don't think they put any chamoy in it the chili tastes just like straight tapatio. Not to mention their prices are ridiculously expensive I understand prices went up but seriously almost $8 for a small mangonada that they call "medium size" but the cup is small size.

Today was a day for trying new places and things. Dandy's was a very pleasant "treat" of fruit and ice cream, and then some. Their menu is interestingly creative. The portion sizes on the items we tried, (Fresh Frescas con Crema and the Bionico), were unusually large, tasty and fulfilling. The service was relatively quick. The staff warm and welcoming. They're open until 10PM and you can have your favorite treat delivered by Door Dash after calling it in. There are quite a few tables for those that want to sit in and eat, along with a chalkboard for the little ones to entertain themselves. I admittedly needed to read a printed menu as I couldn't tell from looking at the items, what all they contained, but I'd also have to say that even after reading it, I still wasn't sure what some of the ingredients were as they're of Hispanic origin/orientation and that's not a significant part of my experience. Based on our experience today as well as the feedback from my family members on the items they had, I'd definitely recommend Dandy's for those looking for something more or different from that which you'd get in the more familiar ice...

Asked for a mangonada without valentina and they gave me one with it. Told them they messed up and the disrespectful employees told me I was wrong and there was no valentina and refused to help me. Customer service here is ATROCIOUS and none of the employees should be working jobs with any customer interaction whatsoever because they do not understand how to interact. Not to mention they got my order wrong and refused to fix it. Oh and when I paid they gave me less change than I was owed and I had to ask for the right amount back. Probably trying to skimp some money out to pocket it for themselves. Do not give these bums...
