My wife and I were driving back from Vegas to the coast and were getting hungry. Figuring since we were about to pass through the central valley I asked if she could find a good torta place since we both had been on a bit of a torta kick lately. She found this place, and while it was definitely out of the way from 58, it was pretty darn good. The sketchy looking places always do good when it comes to food. It was a bit odd coming in and seeing the mexican food menu behind the register, but you see a pizza menu right when you come in the front door. So that was a first for us, I've never seen a mexican and pizza joint in one. Well, we ordered a torta, and it did not disappoint. The bread was nice and fresh, and they grilled both sides. The meat was seasoned well and the veggies all tasted fresh. The size was huge, definitely for sharing. I guess that is why they call them 'Super Tortas'. Pretty good little shop for tortas, especially for the size.

$10 for a giant burrito. When I walked into this little restaurant, there was an assortment of sweet breads and bread. After ordering I couldn't resist the delicious looking sweet breads, two bags of sweet bread because why not? 😁😁 I then watched the cook make the tortilla dough and cook my tortilla fresh, she made the burrito so thick. Even with a time limit on my trip, I sat in the car and ate my burrito, it's so delicious 😋 Definitely going again, and again, and again. 😀😀

Ordered a family size pepperoni and black olive pizza. Was impressed with how large for the price. Pepperoni were small in comparison with other pizza joints, but the flavor was excellent ,wasnt to fond of the pizza dough a bit to thick but it works. Overall it was good. I had better but also worse. Next time I will request extra cheese, pepperoni and black olives. Staff was good even though they were busy on a sunday afternoon.

So my poor fiance ate here a couple months ago but I still remember everything about it and I was in school so now I am writing the review. Not many places are open in the middle of the night and he was working late at the time. We ate different items but he got food poisoning. He didn't eat anything else that day so it couldn't have been any other food. He was going to report them to the health food services but life gets busy and he forgot. He was sick for a whole day and I considered taking him to the hospital but I don't think he wouldn't have made the car ride without getting sick in the car that day plus I knew how to help him. He said that the guy didn't look like he washed his hands and said he should have not taken the food but he was really hungry and wasn't thinking about the consequences. When he did get sick his grandparents and uncle who are locals said (English translation) "You shouldn't have gone there. Ever since they changed management they are no good anymore." I hope this was an isolated incidence but I would implore the management to educate the staff on proper food handling techniques and hygiene to prevent this. I still think about this happening and thought I should educating the public on my experience so...

Today I went to el fogon to order a medium pepperoni pizza with sausage, jalapenos, pinapple and half mushrooms. When we picked it up I looked to see if it was good, but it wasn't. I told the lady that we ordered sausage on all of it and not on half of it and she replied with a whatever, like she didn't care, then she pulled out a receipt and showed it to us, making it look as if we were at fault, when the receipt clearly said medium pepperoni, medium pinapple, medium jalapenos, half mushrooms and medium sausage. She told us oh well and shrugged like there was nothing we could do or that they could do to make it better, and the pizza didn't taste that good at all. I also want to state the the lady who took our order was very nice and I loved how she worked and how she treated...
