Place was okay I have had better but for a truck stop it was decent enough but very expensive for what you got. Little meat in the burritos and lots of pico in them to take up the space. The salsas are not good at all! They have almost no flavor to them and not enough tomato in them compared to other places we have been on the road. The breakfast burrito was really good here. The fries were also really good and a big serving of fries too. Food was hot and the place was mostly clean. It was so full and people everywhere it must be hard to keep the tables wiped off. It shares the food court with a few other places. But 2 burritos and some taquitos and fries were over $30.00 So maybe we will just stick to little Cesar's next time for the $5.00 pizza. El Sabroso is located in a truck stop/gas station/fast food exit right off of I-5; exit 319 for Avenal, to be exact. Besides El Sabroso there's a Subway, Little Caesars and a convenience store, and there are gas pumps for both big rigs (one one side) and cars on the other side.
While I am not looking forward to another road trip to Southern California, stopping at El Sabroso...
