Wow. This was a huge disappointment, and I could not believe that the ribs tasted like fish. Absolutely, horrible, 3 different people, same response. It smelled and tasted like fish. I don't know how or why, but they must have had the ribs in the freezer next to the fish, but how hideous. The amount of food for thirty-two dollars plus tax was a very small portion as well. The brisket was mid, part tasted like a roast part tasted like a real brisket. The sausage was actually pretty good. Just lacked seasoning. We were really disappointed because we're from oakdale and used to have them in town, and they just absolutely gone downhill. Also, the barbecue sauce tasted exactly like Campbell's tomato soup mixed with spices.The barbecue sauce was not barbecue sauce. I'm super disappointed and will never be back or recommended. Best Texas style BBQ ever tried! Maybe a bold statement but imo nothing in Bay Area comes close to what Fasty's has to offer. Such a pleasant surprise finding this hidden gem at the small historical Jamestown over a year ago, and I have been going back there numerous times since. If I have to pick, the brisket is my favorite. highly recommend. I like their pullpork, tri-tip, and turkey as well; other folks tend to have the meat too dry, not Fasty's, their bbq is so juicy, even the trip-tip and the turkey breast. If you want some extra kick, I find their bbq goes perfectly well with wasabi!. Not to mention paring them with wine or beer. Just writing this review makes me want to have some Fasty's right away! I traveled 2 1/2 hrs to get here. Upon pulling up to the gas station (yes its in a gas station but don't let that fool you), we could smell the BBQ goodness outside. Filling our nostrils with the rich scent of cooked meat to perfection. You enter the doors and the scent screams at you. The staff were so nice and even let us sample a piece of smoked turkey (I almost got it). I got the brisket sandwich, my friend the pulled pork and my son the sausage cut up. We all exchanged a small piece of meat each and dug in like a miner that hit gold. The meat was so tender. Like a sweet caress on your cheek. A beautiful moment that I will experience again one day.
