Update Apr 2023- they are getting sloppy! Same good food, but poor service- leaving items out. Ordered dinner and they "forgot" to include the side. Just sloppy. Update Oct 2022- now accept Discover n no masks anywhere. Update July 2022- several points: they no longer give malt vinegar in cups, but rather in sealed packets like the ketchup; however, unless you ask for malt vinegar at the order station they won't give out the packets at the food window. Update- they don't accept Discover cards. I would be giving this 5 stars because they have very good food! Love their fish and any of their chicken selections are tasty and never dry! However! They NEVER give more than a TINY SPLASH of malt vinegar in their pacs! The first photo is what comes each time... the second is 4 pacs poured into 1 - you can see it is STILL less than half full!! This is disgraceful. Malt vinegar is not expensive. There is no excuse for this. I have not commented before because I did not have a large enough sample- but now I have ordered fish enough times to be willing to believe my conclusions are valid!

This location is subpar to say the least and highly lacking quality control in comparison to either El Cajon location. Nothing like paying $60+ for 2 gyro plates only to get half the portion of the other locations with both burnt and cold not as cooked as normal pieces of meat, gyro sauce that had hardly any onion or cucumber in it and was more of a stiff off brand sour cream texture then the creaminess so most certainly it was not fresh and if you needed confirmation just attempt to dip your pita bread in it and the juice that's collected at the top will gladly spill all over 🤦‍♀️ I will give credit where it is due though and the chocolate banana shake was amazing! No matter how great it was though we will not be back to this location and highly recommend you all make the 5 to 10 minute drive to either of the other locations too!

I recently dined at Greek Chicken in Lakeside, CA, and my experience was pretty average. The atmosphere of the restaurant was okay. The service was just okay. As for the food,I ordered the Two Skewer Dinner plate. The chicken was seasoned and cooked well. The side dishes, like the rice and vegetables, were standard and didn't add much excitement to the meal. Pricing was reasonable, which is a plus, but overall, I walked away feeling that there are better options out there for Greek cuisine. I might give it another try in the future, but it’s not at the top of my list.

Talked my wife into trying Greek Style Chicken in Lakeside, I've eaten at the El Cajon location many times before and it was always a good experience. We ordered a burger, gyro and some zucchini, $18.00 but I assured her it was going to be worth it, I tipped the cashier a buck, Food was prompt, it looked and smelled great. I started into my Gyro and noticed there wasn't any Taziki sauce, Ranch for the Zuc's and a small container of "secret sauce" for the burger my wife requested. I went back to the original cashier as she was returning from busing a table and accidentally dropped wrappers and napkins, I picked them up for her and asked for some Taziki sauce, she said " Um well, that will cost you $1.08" I responded, " I just bought a Gyro" in which the cashier snapped back "Well she exchange it for Thousand Island dressing!" I said no she didn't, she just asked for extra dressing for her burger." I returned to our table without another word or the Taziki sauce. Working in retail for 28 years, I realize the battles of customer service. I watched and listened to the cashier as she Mad-dogged me and talked about the situation with the other employees. Reading their menu board it says "Like our service, tell a friend, Don't? Tell us" We finished our meal and I approached the cashier again and asked for the manager, she snapped, "He's not here!" I said "at noon, the busiest time of the day?" "Nevermind, what's his name," she said George!" Hopefully this will affect their star rating and the elusive George will get a slap. Lost my...

The best chicken kabobs ever! Moist and well seasoned. Great rice and Greek salad is always fresh and crunchy with a variety a veggies and feta. We also love the fish. This organization allows you to substitute rice for fried potatoes. Always well prepared. Staff members are polite, professional and helpful. All this for a more than reasonable price. Enjoy! I edited my 5 star review. The once weekly family favorite has become inconsistent and lacks the quality we once expected since June 2024. Our last order had wilted salad. The fried fish was mushy, the rice was dry and lacked flavor. The chicken was just OK. Previous order the salad was missing but the dressing was present. The chicken was dry and lacked their lemon hint. The fries were oily and mushy. The Texas toast was not prepared well and again the rice lacked flavor. The zucchini was still good The first few times we just shrugged it off to new personnel and weekend rush but after 6 months we now know there has been a change. Very disappointing! We will try again in a few months to see if the quality has improved. After a 6 month delay we returned and this time the food was excellent. The fish was crisp on the outside and moist on the inside. The rice was fluffy and moist. The salad crisp and fresh. The Texas toast perfectly...

I'm going to point out some things and these are things that have changed very recently and that can really take this place downhill and birth the beginning of the end..First they changed the bread on the burgers and chicken sandwiches now it's wheat?.Second the Greek Salad Price kinda steep for a boring ol salad with old veggies, if you dine-in they don't serve it on the fun unique white bowl anymore..no they serve it on a boring paper bowl from a junior high cafeteria oh and my tooth is killing me since I bit on a seed that they left from an olive in my salad (it was just a seed no olive)...third they pour the vinigrete dressing now on your salad for you? Like why? What if the customer wants a little or alot!? I went up to the counter and said may I have a dressing for my salad and the guy at the counter says "oh it already comes with it but here's an extra one"...All I can say is Wow Greek chicken you are cutting corners and it's like putting lipstick on a pig just doesn't work!. You went cheap on the customer to cut costs but rather to keep prices the same you hike it up!?! Way to go!. I won't be coming here anymore your stock has dropped to the center of the earth with me I'll take my money elsewhere. Grand total for a medium salad chicken sandwich and a chicken kabob $26.61...Ouch! A scale from...
