I stopped at this IHOP off the 5 freeway—seemingly in the middle of nowhere—and I have to say, it’s one of the nicest and cleanest IHOP locations I’ve ever visited. The restaurant itself is very well kept and has a welcoming atmosphere that makes it stand out. I was seated right away, and my order was taken promptly. The food came out quickly and in perfect timing. To my surprise, the quality exceeded my expectations. The steak was tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly—truly impressive compared to typical cuts you might expect at a diner. My eggs were done over-easy exactly as requested, which was a pleasant detail I appreciated. If I had one small suggestion, it would be for the hash browns to be cooked a little crispier—but that’s simply my personal preference, and since I didn’t request it upfront, I can’t hold that against them. On the way home from LA my daughter and I stopped here for a bite. As soon as they served us we noticed hair in both our meals. I found a couple of pieces cooked into my eggs. Fortunately they were sticking out enough to notice before I tried eating them. My daughter had hair stuck to the side of her plate. We told the waitress who aplogized and quickly brought us back fresh orders. We were too grossed out to eat them though. Even if we wanted too eat, the flies wouldn't leave us alone. So it wouldn't have been enjoyable. We told our server we lost our appetite. I was surprised when she brought us back to go boxes. I said we didn't want the food, but we were given the check anyway. If they weren't going to comp the food they should have at-least given us a discount but we received neither. Too tired to argue I paid the 30 dollar bill (that was for two breakfasts no drinks) and just made a mental note not to stop here again. Also the bathrooms were nasty. Pass...
