My wife and I recently dined at the IronWood Steakhouse and had an amazing experience. The staff were very accommodating and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. To begin we ordered the crab stuffed mushrooms which I would highly recommend. We both ordered the Surf and Turf plate, thanks to Iggy for the complimentary dinner, which was absolutely excellent. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. The lobster was delicious, complementing the steak perfectly. The dish was beautifully presented, and the portion size was generous. I also enjoyed a side of mashed potatoes and steamed carrots and asparagus, which was ok, just basic side dishes. The drinks we ordered were great , I got the Irish Oldfashion and my wife gor something with Rum, but either were delicious. Overall, I highly recommend the IronWood Steakhouse for anyone looking for a top- notch dining experience. 2 of 10

Could be better with experienced cook staff. My husband order is steak medium and it was cooked medium well to well done, but flavored well. Doesn't have a mixed drink menu but they do make them upon request. Pork belly was okay. Crab cakes had shredded crabmeat instead of lumps but was decent...I wouldn't order again. Braised Short Ribs were delicious with the potatoes and gravy I don't think it was worth the price. Ambiance was nice. There is a bar and customers were loud as were the bartender. Our waitress was a sweetheart and was often checked upon by other waiters. The restaurant has an upscale feel, we dressed for a date but others were dressed for the Sizzlers. We won't return, but it was an experience worth $130 for 2, not including dessert.

Wow!!! We had such a great time and delicious food!! Do not think because it is in a casino that it will so so. You would be so so wrong. My husband was not sure when I told him where we were going. Uh a casino restaurant. Well, it was fabulous from the moment we walked in. We were greeted immediately with a smile and water. We ordered a bottle Jordan Cab that complimented our meal. Started with escargot in puff pastry. Tiny little things of garlic and butter! I had the 16oz Choice Rib Eye cooked to a perfect rare temperature. You could have used a butter knife to cut. Husband had the Prime Filet again cooked to a perfect medium rare. The service was excellent. We always had our glasses full and a clean table.

We've been here twice before with no complaints and given 5 stars. Not so last night 3/8/24. I go there for the short rib. It's my favourite thing to eat and theirs is wonderful. I'm not much of a meat eater, but I can't pass up a good short rib. I was very disappointed when our waiter Carlos told me that they didn't have it because the chef won't cook it and it takes 3 days.??? So I choose the king crab legs and potato. Carlos said they didn't have that either. I questioned why they're even on the menu and he said "We're getting new menus next week". I decided to try the veal piccata. Well it arrived looking a bit gelatinous but on a bed of lovely looking angel hair pasta. My first bite was unbelievably salty. Making sure it wasn't just me, my 3 companions tried it and agreed that the dish was inedible. Carlos did take it off the bill and since my companions were almost finished their meal I asked to see the desert menu instead of ordering something else. After a little while, Carlos brings me a fruit cheesecake and says "It's on the house". I've never liked cheesecake and he could have brought almost anything else and I'd have loved it. If he had told me of the menu changes when we sat down, I'd have gone somewhere else. My friend was served a wine she didn't order and the requested horseradish never arrived. My companions said that the steak and lobster was very good, as was the Coq au vin. Next time I'll ask specific questions before we go again.

UPDATE: I was contacted by the restaurant manager who felt terrible and wanted to make things right. She offered to host us for dinner next week. She assured me she would have a short rib for me. Very good and timely response from the restaurant. Bravo. 3/20 Dinner was...

I went to the ironwood steakhouse for a celebration. There was a special being advertised for $29.99 The special was filet mignon (6 oz), shrimp, with a side of carrots and asparagus. I was told by the waiter that I could upgrade the special for a larger fliet mignon (12 oz). So that's what I orderd; the special with the filet mignon upgrade.

Upon receiving the bill, they charged me $71 in total. I was charged $46 for the filet mignon, $20 for the shrimp, and $5 for the asparagus.

Upon notifying the waiter that my bill was absurdly high in price and that I ordered the special with the "upgrade" that he mentioned, he then proceded to tell me that there was no upgrade, and since I ordered a larger steak, my order was changed without my notice.

Upon requesting the manager, she told me that there was nothing that she could do. I pointed out that I was told I could order the special with an "upgrade" and she just repeated the same thing as the waiter. All she ended up doing at the end was offering a very miniscule discount.

So not only was I blatantly lied to about what I was ordering, they separated each individual item that was included in the special and charged me individually, more than doubling the price.

So unless you want to be entrapped with a completely fabricated and overcharged bill, do NOT go to the...

Not my favorite casino steakhouse. A few things I noted based on other casino steakhouses in Reno & San Diego. Our first time here at the Ironwood. The lowest tier level does not get any discount. Even a 5-10% discount would be ok. The green beans were underwhelming in that they were very plain Jane. I was able to use the bacon from our baked potato and the butter to liven it up. The almonds should be used to cook with the green beans not just thrown on top as it is served. The 16oz. Bone-In Ribeye steak was not bad, but not worth $42 as it would be the correct price if it was seasoned better and possibly a better cut. The steakhouse on a whole was very bland. Other steakhouses go above and beyond with very small pre-meal samples and or truffle or equivalent after meal delight. The dessert menu was a sort of Denny's esq type selection. Table side bananas Foster or cherries jubalee could spice the menu up a bit. Being that it was Easter there should have also been an Easter menu or special/traditional ham dinner of sorts. They barely acknowledge it was Easter Sunday. There may have been a balloon a waitress drew a bunny on and egg balloon. Service was good, could use some polishing (4 of 5 stars) I think this could be a great...
