Javi's Mexican Restaurant Hilmar, CA — Restaurant in California

The reason I am giving a 1 star review is because when I visit after a day of work and want to order a beer, I get overlooked by Alca I believe is her name. She’s the other bartender/waitress besides Sandy and Nancy at the Hilmar location. I visited one day with a friend and joked around saying “I’m stuck with you, just kidding” she took offense to what I said and immediately apologized after. Visited about a week later, still felt that she was upset so I apologized again and that I meant nothing by what I said as for it was a joke. It has been some time since I have visited that location when she is working. Today, she still continues to be rude and entertain/serve everyone else and not once asked if I needed anything or want to order anything. In all, I just want to be treated fairly and get served good...

Just had dinner here my husband and I really liked their food . The service is excellent. But today I was very disappointed. We called in to see if there was a waiting list do too covid we were told no. They had a few tables in, out of 20 tables they had 4 closed. Then 15 more customers should up no one had masks and they were waiting for a table just standing around where the other customers were eating. No one that works there said a single thing. Yes I felt that the manager or the owner didn't care for our safety. Sorry to say...

3 sopes with chicken, rice and beans, at lunch time for $12.99. I made it through 1.75 and tapped out, and that was with my 3 year old eating all my rice. The chips and salsa served with refried beans and cheese probably didn't help, but they're fresh and tasty so I may have eaten too much before being served my meal :) The service here is always excellent, and the food is authentic and delicious. They have a very large menu so you're sure to find something you'll like, and you will want to return to try...
