Unlike everywhere I visit, Jose's Country Kitchen was different for a lot of reasons. I want to share everything that stood out but it would take a long time so here is the condensed version:

I ordered the chicken noodle soup prepared from scratch by the cook. Amazingly delicious and a delightful version of an all time classic reborn.

Off menu Chili Verde Enchildas were specially prepared with their homemade pinto beans whole and Spanish Rice. The cook out did himself!!!!!

Regularly I eat at new places all over the USA and enjoy finding the diamond in the rough. This place deserves greater than 5 stars for many reasons:

Atmosphere 5 Stars Cleanliness 5 Stars Accuracy 5 Stars Attentiveness 5 Stars Speed 5 Stars Price 5 Stars

There was only 1 hostess/waitress who kept on top of all the customers, made us feel welcomed and as if we were the only ones dinning. She was truly a delight to converse with and be catered by.

I'll return soon but ask Valley family & friends to dine here. Keep up the great work and I hope more people find this...

The waitress was friendly, and the food was great. The biscuits and gravy was some of the best I've had. Like most places, the hash browns and eggs were under-seasoned, but I think places do that because customers can add salt and pepper but can't remove it once it's there. The hash browns were otherwise cooked perfectly. If you follow my reviews, you know that I usually order my eggs over-medium, and almost no one gets it right. They came close to getting it right, but I would still say they were closer to over-easy. Still, they were closer than a lot of places to getting it right. Good coffee. Very friendly people. My dining companion loved his breakfast enchiladas. We'll definitely eat there again. The only other negative was that the kitchen took forever to get our food made, despite there only being us and another table of two people. If you're on highway 101 near Paso Robles or San Miguel, it's a good place to stop in for some food. I'm interested in trying some of their lunch and dinner specials...

My little and I visited Jose's last night, and they did not disappoint. The laid back atmosphere is welcoming and peaceful. We were greeted in a timely manner, and our order was taken promptly. I ordered Jose's burger with a side salad, and my little ordered the kids chicken strips with fries. The salad was of a generous size, and the ranch dressing was delicious. My burger was amazing! The mushrooms were the right texture, and the burger itself was HUGE! Big enough for 2 people to share. My littles chicken was not tasty, and they were very tough. I asked to replace her order, and the waitress was extremely kind about it. Their fries are scrumptious, my little was very pleased. While we were there, many locals visited, and that made me smile. From the time we arrived until the time we left, I have zero complaints and many compliments to give this establishment. We will definitely...

We stopped here on our road trip through California. We all really enjoyed our meals (4 of us) tremendously. My hungry husband was absolutely stuffed after inhaling their breakfast burrito special. My son ordered a side of potato chips with his breakfast which i thought was super odd but whatever we’re on vacation… somehow he must have known they would be special! They were homemade, crispy, and perfectly seasoned! We were all jealous and trying to steal more off his plate! He said he was sad we’d likely never eat here again as we live so far away. We recommend this unlikely little spot for a delicious meal and friendly service if you’re hungry and passing by.
