La Michoacana-Cocina Mexicana — Restaurant in California

Very bad experience, I went on my 30 min. lunch break to grab 2 tacos and a side of rice. A lady took my order to go and I sat down. After 20 minutes (which is way too long for tacos and pre made rice) someone asked if I ordered something. I said yes and after having a company meeting. She said oh no one made it. Also want to mention the one who took my order was cleaning the bathrooms and other employees were sitting in the dining area. The lady told me she would make them now and told her I couldn't wait I had to go back to work she said no just wait. I replied if you give me the food for free I'll stay and continue to give her my business, if not then I would be leaving not coming back and would not suggest this place to anyone. I have been here twice before and never had a problem till today. They served me Cauldo De Res which looked delicious on the menu board. But when they set the bowl of soup in front of me the meat was dry, GRAY, and nasty! They said it was made this morning. Why are they lying? Fresh cooked meat don't look gray and dry. So I ordered 3 tacos... the meat in that looked much better than the soup! At check out they charged me for the 3 tacos AND the caldo claiming cuz it was made this morning that I had to pay. I tried to fight it but they wouldn't budge. Instead of trying to keep a reaccurring customer they lost one. Please be weary of what you order. These guys are shady... boooooo on...

For some reason I felt that this was an authentic Mexican restaurant and started to pay attention to the details. My family and I ordered different dishes, and to our amazement the tortillas were hand-made, on the spot! Everything was hand-made and processed at the location. Even the horchata drink was made with the natural ingredients and not made with the "just add water" mix that is sold at the stores.
