Speedway Mex Grill — Restaurant in California

Been wanting to try this place for a while and I finally had a chance recently passing by on the way home. Worst drive thru experience I've ever had. I ordered a Carne asada plate everything went good till after I paid. I waited 20 mins till my food was finally handed to me in the drive thru window just to find out it wasn't my order they were trying to hand me so they had me wait even longer. I was literally there waiting for 30 mins and the car behind me was there for a good 25 mins ( the car the food belonged to that they were trying to hand me) so after 30 mins of waiting I waved the employee down thru the window to request a refund cause ive been sitting there for 30 mins with no food and he replied "what did you order?" And I awnsered with what I ordered and he couldn't find my order at all. So then they offered to start on my food and I said no I need a refund I've already been sitting there way to long. The employees there were talking among each other confused asking each other where was the Carne asada plate is at. Long story short they took my order and charged me but my food was never made so who knows how long I would had waited for my food that was never gonna be made cause they only realized my food wasn't getting made cause I requested a refund after waiting so long. The car behind me also waited around 25 mins to get their order cause I was sitting there. Unacceptable service. My refund wasn't returned to my debt card immediately so I'm hoping I...

Speedway Grill was a food place that I had passed by several times and kept telling myself "you should try it one of these days". Well, I finally decided to try it. As soon as I walked in I saw a cashier who looked absolutely miserable. Ignoring that I looked at the menu and placed my order. 2 cheeseburger specials, 1 hamburger by itself and their low carb plate.

The dining room is large so we had plenty of options of where to sit. The dining room was also relatively clean. It took about 10 min (I think that's just about average time) to receive our food. As I'm getting french fries from one of the individual trays and I see a long black hair. Hair in my food is an absolute no-no, I will not eat my food if I find hair in it.

My wife went up to the front to show them and they apologized. In return we received a "fresh order of french fries". I wasn't looking for my meal to be free but c'mon, a fresh order of fries is a pretty damn weak way to atone for their error. When the fresh french fries were brought over to us, there was no expression and nothing said to us. It felt like they were upset with us for saying something.

After that there was no way I would be able to enjoy my meal. The fries were bland to me, probably could have gone another minute in the oil. The burger was ok and my wife's chicken was actually good. I don't know, it's going to be a while before I choose to come...

The drive thru lady here really sucks! Her name is Maria and she totally doesn’t know how to handle the front counter and the drive thru at the same time. She can’t focus on taking orders at all, she forces me to scream at her every time i come through the drive thru. She is very annoying and very unprofessional and she doesn’t know how to multi task. These are the worst people to have in the fast food industry. This is the only place that is local that i can get my dog some quick bacon and sausage and i order the same thing all the time and she’s acts totally stupid when i order “2 pieces of bacon” some how she’s an idiot and thinks that the word two sounds like the word 3 or 4. I know she intentionally repeats my order wrong back to me. After her third time acting like a stupid idiot that doesn’t know how to do a simple job I’m never coming here again.
