Great little hidden sandwich spot, wish I had known about this place sooner. The chicken Caesar salad was perfect! Everything tasted fresh, the chicken was nicely seasoned and they gave me 2 containers of dressing on the side, so I was able to put the exact amount I wanted on it. They do not skimp on the chicken, so the salad was actually very filling. There was a lady who cut in line in front of me, I was a little peeved but I had already ordered and I knew mine would be finished first anyway, so it wasn't a big deal, but the gentleman at the counter actually mentioned it to her, which I was impressed by. I like it when businesses pay attention to how customers are treating each other and enforce a code of conduct, it helps make for a more comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Five stars all around. Mayhew Deli is my favorite deli around Sacramento. The staff and owner are friendly and very professional. Anything I've ordered has been fresh and delicious, from the sandwiches to the salads to the chili. It's all made in house!! And anything they dont make like the breads, is from local bakeries and suppliers. I have a dairy allergy and they have no problem with the little changes I ask for.
