McCoy's Coffee Shop — Restaurant in California

Atmosphere was great! Food was so/so. The potatoes were good but the biscuits were rock hard. The ham and bacon in my omlett was WAY over cooked! My wife ordered eggs over medium. The top was fine but still had uncooked egg whites on the bottom (left a snail trail across her plate when she slid them over). Service was good up until I politely mentioned a typo in their menu pricing. Their menu shows cash price and credit price. Menu Cash for meatlovers omelet is $15.49 and credit is $15.44. It's the only item that's less for credit. When I got my bill I noticed I was charged $15.95. I politely said "I'm not worried about the 50 cents, but figured I'd let you know there may be a typo in your menu price". The waitress paid almost no attention to the menu and started arguing with me stating the way its explained to her is the price I see for each item listed the total with tax and if you add the 4 items up (two meals and two beverages) it'll equal the total at the bottom (she skipped over the sub total and sales tax). I tried to show her the difference again and showed her how each item is listed and pointed to the corresponding price on the menu, then below that is the subtotal, below that is the tax and at the bottom is the total with tax (I didnt say this but its same way any reciept I've ever gotten in my 40something years is)! She huffed, grabbed the reciept and stormed off. She must have made some comment to another waitress over where she stormed off to because we got a dirty look from her too. On her way back I heard her grumble to the other waitress "I can't explain it to him so I'm just going to take it off". When she got back to the register I again said I wasn't worried about the 50 cents, it was for their benefit. She got snarky and said "no you brought it up so I'm just going to do it". Her attitude was so bad we almost went back to the table to pick up the cash tip and I'm still contemplating reporting this business for charging over the advertised price all because of her. But, that wouldnt be fair to the business as Im sure it really is a simple typo. My advice, based on the food and her attitude, go somewhere else!!! Unfortunately she kept the original reciept with the line itemed charges, but the copy she gave me indicates her...

My service today was horrible the waitress we had honestly made or morning breakfast horrible. Me and my friend went here for breakfast and my friend arrived before I did she was rude to my friend when she was ordering her drink. When I arrived, the waitress was rude to me when I ordered my drink. Not to mention, when we were about to order our food, the waitress was also horrendous. I ordered steak and eggs . She then proceeded to ask me, "How did I want my eggs?" I replied "white" Then she repeated again how did I wanted my eggs to that I said eggs white. Then she said no I said," How do you want your eggs I told her I would like my eggs white with no yolk. To this, she ended up putting her hand on her hip and told me that they don't have egg whites. Then, I proceeded to tell me I had to change my choice because it was not a valid response. I told her that was okay. I pointed to the picture and said, "Just bring me that." She gave a lot of attitude. Then, I proceeded to ask me how did I want my eggs, and I told her just away the picture looks. She was also rude to my friend when she was ordering food. When food was brought to us, she threw the paper napkins on our table, and I mean threw. She also ended up pouring more coffee onto my friend's cup after my friend politely asked her not to pour anymore. She didn't ask us if we needed anything else, and I had to ask another lady to help. She also ended up just tossing the container to go on the table. She was really rude and very unfriendly. If this is the service they're willing to provide, I will not eat there anymore, nor do I recommend this for anyone who wants to enjoy...

This is my first time going to this restaurant and since then I don’t recommend this place.

The service was horrible. The waitress was fundamentally rude and clearly not a morning person. She got upset with me, when she asked what I want on my side to which I responded with potatoes because that’s what was on the menu, potato’s or hash. Well, it made her upset as she proceeded to ask whether I wanted “Country or Hash”. I was confused because it didn’t say country on the menu and I even looked back on the menu to check. I guess I took “too long” because the waitress proceeded to sigh and put her hand on her hip clearly showing attitude. She said, “I’ll come back to you then” in the most rudest tone. I’ve never encounter rude service in my life to this degree. She needs to take customer service training again or work somewhere else in the restaurant that doesn’t involved customer interaction.

Also, the waitress in a tangent, was even going to talk bad about the cook in the restaurant. Which makes feel weird...
