McDonald's — Restaurant in California

I don't have McDonalds a whole lot, but lately with the discovery of the app and deals offered through it, mobile ordering and pickup, I have been visiting McDonald's more frequently lately. Its fast, and there are 'reasonably' healthier options to choose from now than before.

This McDonald's in particular has above-average-to-excellent customer service which is actually somewhat shocking since I'm used to going to McDonalds on road trips up and down the Interstate 5 and you never know what you are going to get there.

I ordered in-app for pickup about a mile away. Arrived and checked-In outside, and the app said they were working on it. I stood around for a bit and sat down inside. 2 minutes later, a pleasant McDonald's associate came out and handed me my order on a tray, with napkins, and took away the trash that was at my table left by some other patron that didn't bus their own table.

Can't ask for more than that as far as customer service at a fast food restaurant.

Another reason why this place is also above average is the food they serve just tastes more 'fresh' than other McDonalds. Maybe they stick to the rule of throwing anything old out, or I just got lucky.

I've been here on several occasions because when I'm in town, visiting family, my Mom often craves their fish sandwich. This McDonald's has consistently crafted / heated up / made the best ones. And my mom / dad would know because I've picked up a lot of these over the years at various McDonalds.

Anyway, kudos to this place and I hope they continue to be consistently above the average McDonalds.

Be careful when ordering two for $3.00 We asked for for McDouble extra cheese and chicken sandwich and heavy set woman charged them separately ($5.79 instead of $3.00). Initially, another woman had been taking the order in a friendly voice and suddenly this rude voice pops up. No idea why? I guess heavy set woman thought her approach was more effective? We ask her how much the fries are and she says, which ones? I thought you only had three sizes. Do you not know the prices of all three or are you too lazy to say the price of each? Same thing with the nuggets....we ordered value menu nuggets and she decided to play the same game by saying, “Which ones?” She decided not to tell us the total or display our order on the screen. So, of course we were hit with the little bait and switch at the window. She said it was because we added the extra cheese. So extra cheese justifies you charging an extra $2.79? I’ll make sure to go to the McDonald’s on Gale next...

They have never disappointed us. We use the stove thru. Not sure about what other ppl are talking about. We've always had a nice, friendly, and quick experience here. -1 star only because they rarely have happy meal boxes. ..which are one of the only 2 reasons why kids buy them! And they have only a few toy selections.

Updated 5/3: Veronica and Joanne were super super friendly and smiling this morning! I ordered the number 4, the sausage McMuffin meal, 2 Bacon Egg & Cheese McGriddles, and one sausage egg and cheese McGriddle. Joanne was so friendly while taking my order. And when I got to the window she even had a special promo coupon for me. I recommend this McDonald's for anyone wanting a friendly a drive-through experience and hot fresh food. Veronica made sure to double check my order when I got to the window just to make sure that I had everything. Put a smile on my face...
