Update July 2024- I have started going back here and while it is still a little slow, it's much, much better than it was.
Summary: took 18 minutes to get chicken mcnuggets and french fries; black spot on chicken mcnugget
I knew this McDonald's was slow, (on my last visit I watched as 3 workers stood around talking for several minutes while my food was just sitting there, until one of them finally got around to handing it to me) but I won't be back for awhile after today.
After ordering my food in the drive thru, I looked at my clock: 4:20 p.m. and there were two cars ahead of me waiting for food. I ordered: twenty chicken mcnuggets with sweet and sour sauce, a medium fry and a TINY caramel sundae (they don't fill those up like they used to) and the total was $15.91. Now, the whole pay beforehand business model is set up so that you get your food immediately, but instead, I was handed my sundae (shouldn't this be the LAST thing given to a customer.... not the first???) And asked to park in an unshaded parking spot (the drive thru is shaded and I had my dogs with me). So now I was essentially trapped. I couldn't go inside because my dogs were with me, I couldn't drive away because I had already paid, and I couldn't go back through the drive thru line because it was getting longer and longer. Finally, Christopher, who was extremely apologetic and the one plus side to this experience, brought out my food at 4:37 p.m. Unfortunately, after all that time, they didn't put the sauce in the bag, so he had to run back inside for it. I finally drove away with all of my items at 4:38 p.m. (except the sundae which I had no choice but to eat while I was sitting in the sun and it was melting).
Also, their food is not always the best quality...a couple times the chicken mcnuggets have been soggy, and today I found a black spot on one of my mcnuggets?!? What IS that?!? After waiting 18 minutes?!? Really,...
Read moreSo the first few times I went to this location, it was really nice and clean, although you could hear the manager straight screaming at the employees.. also they pretty consistently just give you the wrong order.
Once I ordered a chocolate shake and got half shamrock in it and when I said it wasn't what I ordered the kid said "That's what comes out of the machine first before the chocolate so..." like what??? run the machine to clear out the previous flavor???? insane. And that's just one instance.
Recently I went again after not going for a while and there were actual trash piles all around the lobby. All of the trash cans filled up so people were leaving trash on pretty much every surface even the counter where you place your order. We were for real actual surrounded by trash while we ate.
ALSO when I went to place my order I stood there for a long time without seeing a single employee and then I think a manager came and told me they were way too busy to take my order and could I use the electronic screen thing, but I had already tried and I wasn't able to add a drink to my order. And that just really sucked and a restaurant of any kind saying that they're too busy to take my order is insane.. that's the whole point of the business...
I also saw a man come in, wait for a while (after I had ordered and still didn't get my single double cheese burger) and then leave because there wasn't a single employee in sight. And then another group a family come in and the same thing where they waited for a while and left after seeing no one.
Really terrible location, and I think it's just the management and staffing issues. Also, the employee who finally took my order was so stoned she couldn't open her eyes, but more...
Read moreWORST MCDONALDS EVER!!! I waited and waited to leave this very HONEST review too long now… Literally EVERY SINGLE TIME THEY GET ALL ORDERS WRONG!!! And after the longest wait times I’ve ever experienced anywhere! I’ve had to walk inside EVERY TIME and ask where my food is after waiting for more than half to a full hour and they still get my order WRONG! I even went in and spoke very nicely to a “manager” and she wasn’t listening to a word I said the entire time… The employees all look stoned constantly (which would make all the incorrect orders make sense. Haha) and the managers clearly don’t care about all these horrible reviews and extreme absence of CUSTOMER SERVICE. I told the managers clearly that while I understand that this location is the ONLY fast food establishment we have here in VC… It doesn’t make how horrible the entire experience is “OK” for its residents/customers. I also told the manager that I am aware that if they caught any of their employees stealing cash from their registers, they would be “fired” so… How are we as customers supposed to feel about being charged (and a lot!) for food that we DO NOT RECEIVE EVERY TIME WE DRIVE THROUGH??? Anyway, someone has to fix all these issues or they aren’t going to last long here. ALL BAD BAD BAD!!! GET IT TOGETHER PLEASE!!! FAILING...
