Spent a delightful Sunday afternoon on Tues deck overlooking the ocean.

Easy access with free Valet. It’s a space that fills up quickly and stays that way on the weekends. For good reason.

Overlooking one of the choicest sections of beach on the California coast. Beautiful sand. Glassy water small surfable rollers at one end. No mass of hotels or commerce. Felt like a private beach.

Lots of shade makes it easy to chill out and relax. Lounge like couch seating up front. Bar tops behind and a network of oversized shade canopies. The slight breeze bringing soft gentle ocean air keeping the environment perfect.

A few steps down the stairs and you’re on the beach. It’s not crowded, even on a summer Saturday. Super walkable. Easy small waves lightly kicking the sand. It’s a remarkable location.

As you might expect, the food was really good. Substantially better than you will find almost anywhere along this coast line. A solid menu that delivers on the descriptions.

Staff was equally good. Way better than you’ll find in most restaurants. Happy to be there. Alive. Responsive before you even realized you needed to refill your water. Realistic in their description of the choices. And charming. Whoever does the hiring knows what they’re looking for and they deliver. A shout out to Tana, I’d steal her to be on my team.

All in all truly...

My husband and I arrived for drinks, we didn’t have a reservation, the bar lounge was completely empty, we asked if we can sit to the right lounge area, mind you completely unoccupied, I told the hostess we didn’t have a reservation on a Tuesday afternoon as we were only there for cocktails, she said she had to ask her manager if it was okay, of course the rude manager looked me up and down. Completely offended by the experience my husband had at the restaurant. It's frustrating to be treated rudely, especially when the lounge area was unoccupied and we only planned to stay for cocktails. Thank god we were dressed up !! "looking you up and down" behavior, is generally considered unprofessional and disrespectful, regardless of the underlying reasons! Management skills needs...

I am not trying to be hyperbolic or to exaggerate here. However this was an awful experience. I was here with my coworkers (15 people) for a birthday lunch. We arrived at 1 and one of the meals was finally brought to the table at 3pm in which the person boxed it and had to leave. The service was very kind but orders were consistently late or completely forgotten. I ordered the ceviche and the farmers market salad with shrimp. $18 for 5 shrimp is offensive alone but the salad was inedible. I had a few coworkers try it as well. Simply the worst salad I've ever had.

I certainly won't be returning here, personally. And I don't think our office will either.

Perhaps an off day. No hard feelings, just won't be recommending to...

Service and ambience were good, and the little fireplace for chillier days was a really nice touch. The views were fantastic and definitely a highlight of the visit. The menu was slightly different than what we saw online, and there weren’t many non-spicy options, which made choosing a bit tricky. The food itself was good, but felt slightly overpriced for what you get. Overall, a great spot for the atmosphere and views, but check the menu in person before you go if you’re particular about spice!

Miramar Beach Bar is attached to the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel. This hotel is a 5 star luxury hotel; however, the beach bar is open to the public. It was quite nice getting to walk through the beautiful property and see the amazing views of the water. The glasses of wine we got were overall good as was the calamari but very expensive. Service was fine but nothing exceptional. If you come here, you are coming to experience the beautiful property and views rather than the food/drinks.
