Update 8/7/24: Wow! Another disappointment! I came in with expectations of a nice wine frosty but they no longer have this item. Ok, I orderd a Coors light bottle. I was brought a can. 🤨 The first rule of great service is listening to your customers desires. I was planning on a nice meal but after the server (bar) didn't get a simple beer order right I figured it was a bad idea to order food. 😕

I am not a difficult person to please. I just expect to be listened to and served the best food and drink you can with a great attitude and accuracy.

I wrote for newspapers for years as a food writer and chef who created recipes and I know what it takes to accomplish great customer service because I have been in the industry for 45 years. Please train your staff. You lost $$ tonight and why would I try again?

I have eaten here on many occasions and with a good take away for most of the experiences. Tonight however, was the first time I had the fried chicken sandwich. You would think this would be there flagship claim to fame sandwich... It is a fried chicken breast with slaw, pickles pickled red onion & sauce on a brioche bun. It's a large sandwich! Unfortunately, the oil was too hot and the batter (crust) was over cooked and the meat under cooked. For chicken, that's a bad thing. I could not finish the second half of my sandwich due to it being pink in the middle.

Bummer! I have enjoyed other menu options and the wonderful service but dang it your fried chicken should be on point. I will be back to try the roasted Mary's half chicken and hope it is redeeming. I love...

I've been here a couple times and always have great service. Food is awesome and the service is top notch. They always seem to have something new on the menu which I appreciate. Love the Jerk Chicken and the new Gyro. They have a new menu so I have only had a couple items but I've never been disappointed. Keep up the good work!!

.........I was there a couple days ago and there was a woman making a big deal about her bill because she thought it was to expensive. The server was nice even though this lady was talking down to her and so loud sharing her experience with the whole restaurant. The server went over the bill and the lady agreed with what she had ordered. She was still upset and said she was going to write a bad review about this place. In her review she mentioned she was handicap and African American which has nothing to do with her service. I'm black and I was there the same time and had great service from the same server. Don't be rude and be kind to people. I hope this lady looks in the mirror and realizes she was in the wrong. I hope that server doesn't get in trouble, she did a good job and kept her cool. Had to write a review about this because I didn't think it was fair for The Chicken Shop to get a bad review when they didn't do anything...

So fantastic to have a neighborhood family restaurant that has been thoughtfully put together. The interior of this place is spot on, booths and hi tops for family eating and a great bar area that feels separate enough to enjoy a drink or 2 at if you are there sans kids - not to mention perfect lighting (I have a real aversion to restaurants with bright indoor lights). This hopefully sets the standard for new restaurants off Green Valley road. It is from the team behind Milestone in EDH Town Center so food is great, as you would expect.

As locals, we will be frequenting this place A LOT even just to sit and have a drink at the bar area...

Couple of suggestions, which granted are more personal preference but listing here in case the owners get similar feedback:

Garlic fries could be much more garlicky with parmesan as optional not standard.

Having a west coast style IPA permanently on draft would be amazing, but I know this hazy preference is a trend that is with most restaurants at the minute. Track 7 Panic (not the hazy) or Breaking Bud or Solid Ground...
