Mr Taco Lompoc — Restaurant in California

Just moved to the Village about two weeks ago. We found this Mexican restaurant on H st. and we thought it was so good, probably ate there five times already! Just tonight we tried Mr Taco and yep, we're gonna become regulars!

The relleno was perfect. I'm sure it's a preference but I really enjoy when the poblano is tender and cuts well with a knife. The batter was also exceptionally well fried and wasn't too eggy. I honestly haven't had a good relleno from a restaurant except down the street from where I used to live. The cheese was fantastic too. I've had relleno from other places where cheese doesn't even melt! I think the only thing that would make the relleno here any better would be a light red sauce to lay in, the only problem with that would be eating it fast enough before it got soggy!

I got the combo with the enchilada. I only got cheese because I'm pretty finicky about meat but next time I go there, which will be very soon!, I'm going to try their shredded beef! Their enchilada sauce was just how I like it, on the chili flavour rich side versus tomato flavour rich without being excessively hot.

Super upset. Called in an order so my wife and I could eat on her lunch break. Got put on hold for 10 minutes because they were busy. Good thing I’m calling ahead right? Got there 15 minutes later to find out my order was never put in. Waited another 20 minutes while my wife went back to work without lunch. Got home (I live a minute and a half away) and opened cold, sloppy, greasy food. Took a bite and threw the rest in the garbage. I actually found this place through a recommendation from a friend, he was always taking about their fish tacos and I finally had to get some for myself

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, they even let me know how spicy something was as well as making sure I was well taken care of.
