Local dives like this are few & far between, making them all the more precious ♥️; and Ashley & Scott do everything they can to make folks feel welcome.

Inside = limited bar seating + a large round table that can fit 5 comfortably, 6 if you really like each other & are willing to (literally) rub elbows. When we arrived, a party of 2 sitting at the table immediately invited us to share the space, which we did.

Lots more outdoor seating — unsure if the space heater works or not (didn’t try it out).

Given the size of the kitchen & staff, the menu is limited too but enough mix & match to satisfy most stomachs. We had the soup of the day, salads (impressive in size & ingredients 👍🏼) & a grilled sandwich. Not a drop or crumb remained when we were done!

Ginormous can & bottle drink selection + more on tap. I was muy happy to see the locally renowned Blurberry; my companions tried the mocktail elixir.

Papa Wheelies is a must, I don't understand how this place, has not gotten Famous yet! From the charm of the dinner, and Scott's benevolent vibes. Its a one man show, and you better not miss it! Its hard to say what is better, their amazing grass fed burger, or the home-made fries & aoili. Didn't try the tuna melt, but after watching Scott make one, I needed it, but was able to control myself. I will say the true sleeper here is the veggie burger, and I am a burger hunter from NYC, so I mean it when I say it. Beer Selection is on point and there is a ring on a string that will humble you. KeyWest, NewYork, New Orleans, Houston, LA, SF, Its worth the trip, the fly, & drive. Remember, its one guy running the joint, So remember, patiences and respect, will pay off tenfold! We stopped in last night for last minute drink and eats. Boy…. were we surprised! The guys golfed all day and were starving and my friend and I were equally hangry and cold! So 6 of us piled in that place just as they were opening. The owner didn’t miss a beat and neither did his helper. They were kind, fun, turned up the heat, poured us good wine and beers for the guys. We started out with 24 blue cheese hot wings and they were to die for! I had a hamburger that I swear was the best hamburger I have ever had in Mckinleyville…maybe ever. The guys had tuna melts and the “Jeezy” sandwich and they raved about how good it was. I am so glad we found this neighborhood establishment! Thanks so much for kicking off our Holiday to such a fun start...
