This place is WHACKKKKKK.
Walked in all pleasant-like excited to try this place, and "Andrew" was behind the counter with a sour look on his face and doesn't greet me at all. I said "Hey there! It's my first time here, so I'm taking a look at the menu and the pizzas you have displayed to get an idea." He doesn't say "oh hey thanks for coming in" or "welcome, lemme know if you have any questions", or anything. Just walks away rudely.
So I have to deal with a garlic allergy, and wanted to try one of their square pizzas, cuz i love a chewy crispy oily crusted pizza. Keep in mind these are $30+ for a pizza, not counting tax and tip. This isn't a cheap joint like little Cesar's where they just sell ready made pizzas, but even Little Cesar's is willing to customize a pizza if you're willing to wait. Prime pizza makes everything fresh to order.
They informed me that their regular tomato sauce is the only sauce that doesn't have garlic. Perfect, right? Nope. The manager named "Andrew" flat out refused to sub the garlic tomato sauce that they use for the square pizzas, for the non-Garlic tomato sauce. His reasoning was "oh it's policy because pricing is different blah blah." BULLSHIT. I said "no worries I'll pay $10 extra for the other sauce." After i offered to pay well above and beyond the price difference between the 2 sauces, his reply contradicted his first statement of pricing being the issue, and said "No we can't do it, it's against our policy." Like, what?
Ridiculous honestly. I even tried joking around with the guy saying like "hey, I won't tell anyone, just "accidentally" put the non-Garlic sauce on it by "mistake"! The dude has the worst customer service etiquette I've ever seen, and has let the minuscule amount of power he has managing a pizza shop, go to his head. What a power tripping idiot. I told him it's a stupid policy, and left.
I even called him back after I left, thinking that maybe this guy thought I was asking for a slice sized piece with different sauce, since I was looking at the pizzas sold by the slice. His reply? "No, I'm aware you were willing to order a new full pizza to take home. We don't care, it's against our policy."
I've never heard a more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were sad when we learned Patticakes was no longer going to be our bakery in the corner, but were optimistic about this pizza place coming in. We waited and waited and waited for them to open. When they finally did, we were ecstatic about their pizza.
Prime Pizza has become my favorite pizza parlor in just two visits. I've tried 5 of their creations and have enjoyed every one almost identically, which is hard for me because I'm a staunch pepperoni pizza lover, yet I loved their other flavors all the same. Now when I visit its hard for me to decide which slice to get. Luckily the slices are large and can be shared easily without feeling you've given it away.
We ordered b by the slice. They crisp it in the over perfectly and serve it nice and hot, but ready to eat. Their crusts are perfectly crunchy and nice, and not greasy or heavy, and not too thick.
The cookies are my favorite as well. They are chocolate chips with a hint of oats mixed in; but most importantly, they aren't overloaded with chocolate, so they aren't overly sweet. For me, that makes them really enjoyable. The pizza, salad, and drink are a good deal as well.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and they always smile and greet you and make sure your have everything you need to enjoy your meal.
Overall, I could taste the quality of ingredients, and I didn't feel sluggish or heavy after eating there.
I'm not a pizza snob. I very much enjoy Blaze Pizza, Little Ceasars, and some of the other guys, even Sbarros, but Prime Pizza, for me, is my favorite...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI heard great things about this spot, so I decided to give it a try on Saturday afternoon. We ordered a pie, took our number, and sat down outside. The vibe outside was nice with families and couples having a good time but not crazy loud or anything.
The pizza was great. Fresh ingredients, well baked, served hot. The garlic knots were volcanic hot, but they were delicious as well.
My biggest issue was that they forgot about our order, and we sat for almost an hour waiting. Several tables were served before us, and all we ordered was a pepperoni round pie with an order of garlic knots. One guy did come out, explained that there was a communication problem, and did give us a salad and some cookies. We appreciated the gesture, but it took them a loooong time to figure out the issue and start our order.
I'd like to try it again. The pizza itself was very good, but if they're disorganized, I wouldn't want to...
