For my birthday dinner, my BFF brought me to this quant little Italian Restaurant situated in Blue Jay that had just recently opened. We were warmly greeted as we entered by the owner, Antenello Zito. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy. The restaurant did not appeared to be busy at the since we were there at 8pm on a Thursday night, but was told that if we were ever to come at 5pm, we have to make reservation because at that time it is very crowded, and it their busiest time. I took our waiter's recommendation of his personal dish there, which was the Cannelloni. It was the best I've ever tasted! The sauce was excellent!!! I highly recommend their Cannelloni dish! You will be pleased that you did! My friend had ordered the Braciole Pasta, which she had also enjoyed greatly. Our waiter had topped our dishes with fresh grated imported Parmesan cheese from the displayed cheese wheel in the other room where the bar stand is located. We were told that the cheese wheel has to be wiped every day so it will aged properly. We finalized our dinner with the waiters bringing in a Tiramisu and singing happy birthday to me. I've tasted many Tiramisu, but this was the BEST EVER!!! I highly recommend that you come and taste it for yourself. We were educated regarding wine also. Puglia Restaurant carries the most exquisite types of wine. They have wines that are produced from 110 years old grapes. My friend and I are not really red wines connoisseurs. However, upon Antenello's recommendation we had tried the wine he had recommended, which was the Muro Sant' Angelo Contrada Barbatto's Gio del Colle DOP Primitivo. It was voted the Best Red Wine 2017 Gambero Rosso. Well in our opinion it was the best testing red wine we have ever tasted! If you are a wine connoisseur, you MUST come to Puglia Restaurant or Puglia Coffeè (it's not opened as of currently), which is located next to the main restaurant. I was told by Antenello that he has planned Puglia Coffeè's grand opening date to be the beginning of May, and its hours of operations will be from 6am to 5pm. Puglia Coffeè will be serving Espressos, cheese, coffees, wines, croissants, and cakes as I am told. You will have to visit there to see for yourselves! I am looking forward to this new establishment in our town. In summary, I highly recommend that you visit Puglia Restaurant! Lake Arrowhead and its vicinity has finally acquired a great fine dining Italian Restaurant to add to add to the map!

When you live on the mountain, you know your dinner options don’t change much but this is one of those places I know we won’t get tired of! Food was great, staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. They even had live music the day we went. (Thursday) Reservations seem to be needed. We made one and were seated quickly but by the time we were done eating the whole place was packed. The bruschetta is a must, and I’m not usually a fan of Olives but these were perfect for the plate. We also ordered the Prosciutto Cotto pizza and the Braciole Pasta. Both were very enjoyable but the Pizza was our favorite. (chefs kiss) We had the wine special (red and white wines) and they were perfect for our dinner. Oh and the olive oil they use for their meals and bread appetizer is as good as the oils we tried in Italy. They even sell it there! We finished our meal with the Tiramisu which has some extra layers of flavors added than a traditional tiramisu but it was still very good! The one thing that might turn people away from coming back are the prices (as mentioned in other reviews) but the quality of ingredients and cuisine wisdom is there, and when you live on the mountain, you won’t be finding that elsewhere. I’m sure it’s not easy to maintain the standard of quality they have when located in Blue Jay but we appreciated it and would go back again. If you don’t live on the mountain, you might have your own favorite Italian place down the hill or in LA that might be hard to compare it to but I promise you won’t be disappointed. We look forward to going back and trying different things. They even have a rotating menu and weekend specials.

Never have i ever left this kind of rating before to a restaurant also understanding the impact it can have on a Business but what we Experienced is nothing less than an Insult. Just to begin as someone that eats out i got to say Organic Ingredients or Not, Imported from Italy or not, the over all Quality of the food was low, small and Over Priced, as well as Pasta Cooked Al Dente, which is how pasta should be " cooked slightly "under cooked" but their Pasta is so Sticky to the point it Sticks to your teeth like Glue. Mainly our main concern and down point is not the price but a bad experiance with a Dish ordered with Pecorino Cheese which as a person that does eat Blue Cheese and other Bold ones i and even my wife across the table Where overwhelmed by the Smell not to talk about the Taste which was too strong to bear and VERY BITTER, from that point forward we've kindly notified our server that somthings wrong and after a small onteregation and some questions such as "where are you originally from?" "What kind of cheese are you familiar with" "what kind of cheese you usually eat" they have taken the dish which by the way we have not eaten from and they asked us what we would like instead and we chose a tomato baed pasta, but after a while the server noted just before it came that they are charging us for both of the dishes not adding much..so that's how a 2 people meal with pasta no wine becomes 170$ of pure joke service and some what food too. Wont return and wont recommand anyone. Hopefully they'll get more service oriented...felt embarrassing.

Today, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at this charming Italian restaurant that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a cozy and inviting atmosphere that immediately made me feel at ease.

The interior design of the restaurant was tastefully done, with warm lighting, comfortable seating, and a delightful ambiance. It was the perfect setting for an intimate dinner or a gathering with friends and family. The attention to detail in creating such a welcoming atmosphere was truly commendable.

Now, onto the food. Oh, the food! I can confidently say that this Italian restaurant serves some of the best dishes I have ever tasted. Every bite was a burst of flavors that transported me straight to Italy. From the perfectly cooked pasta to the rich and savory sauces, each dish was a work of culinary art. The use of fresh and high-quality ingredients was evident in every plate that arrived at our table.

The pricing of the food we received at this Italian restaurant was truly a testament to the exceptional quality and flavor. While some may consider the prices slightly higher than average, it is important to note that the value for money is absolutely worth it.

When it comes to dining out, I firmly believe that you get what you pay for. In this case, the slightly higher price point reflected the use of premium ingredients, the skillful preparation of each dish, and the overall dining experience. The attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident in every aspect of our meal.

The friendly staff added to the overall positive experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. The service was prompt and efficient, ensuring that we had a seamless dining experience from start to finish.

Whether you're a fan of classic Italian dishes or looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant has something for everyone. The menu offers a wide variety of options, ensuring that there is always something to suit every palate.

In conclusion, I highly recommend this cozy Italian restaurant to anyone in search of a memorable dining experience. The combination of the inviting atmosphere, exceptional food, and attentive service makes it a standout choice.

We had a reservation at 7, we ordered our food at 7:20 and the waiter did not come back upstairs till 8:40, after we asked where our food was. Nobody communicated with us that the pizza was made one at a time and that it would take them over an hour to make 4 pizzas. None of our food was ready in a timely manner and it was cold when it got to our table. The worst part was that the waitress got upset that we walked down the stairs and started talking badly about us. We heard it clearly from the upstairs because there was no music playing. I have never been treated and insulted by a server in my life. We drove here from over 2 hours away and will not be returning. The fact that the insults came from downstairs and they said it clear as day, results in a bad review and a report on their horrible service. Apparently they are on their best behavior when their boss is in the building, he was not there, and the staff was cussing up a storm. Not worth the drive. Not worth your time. Rude people. Food would be better at Olive Garden.

Update: Sir, we literally saw you walk out of the restaurant before we got seated at our table and you left. We saw you leave. Another point to make is that if you staff is well trained, why would they not go up and explain that? We had no idea that the pizza takes that long. We had no idea that because we had such a big party, we were pushed to the back. We didn't know. So when we go down and have to ask to a refill of water and an update on our food, and your staff speaks badly about us and our "big ass" order and how we are "dumb and should know" that is not okay. You can defend your staff all you want sir. Just know, that we know for a fact that you were not there, you did not hear her say that and insult us, and Xavier tried to fix the issue, but he was not the one that said it. If your staff wants to insult customers, they can do it in the kitchen or far away from the ears of customers that actually appreciate and like your food. It is unfortunate that as an owner, you would respond this way and lie and say you know your staff didn't say anything. Pull the cameras, hear how your staff speaks badly about your customers, then you can fix the problem which is...
