Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in California

Walked into this Round Table yesterday to order a medium pizza, asked where the menus were, they had a stack front of counter. Medium pizza was $21.99, the cashier was nice, took my order and said $38. and change....I stopped him and said whoa that is about double what the menu said, he advised menu prices is outdated by a couple years +... I asked for manager, to find out why they display menus that are supposedly over 2+ yrs old, though they were not available. It is SAD, that the owner is gouging customers for $40 for a medium pizza, but then to falsely advertise prices in menus that are years old and NOT to care , defined everything I needed to know about this location. Round Table used to once be a brand I was loyal to, and thoroughly enjoyed, a company that had pride in its offering, once they sold the company to a large corporation all of that was lost. SAD TIMES INDEED. I left this establishment, not to return, and I recommend that others do not under these blatant...

I will admit Round Table’s pizza is pretty good. The only problem is the service. The last time I called to order a pizza I explained to a guy who works there over the phone that I wanted half pepperoni and half pineapple and to make sure all the pizzas have pepperoni and pineapple because my pizza had one side of pepperoni and the other side pineapple. The guy yelled “I GAVE YOU HALF PEPPERONI AND HALF PINEAPPLE YOU GOT WHAT YOU WANTED!!!” I said “THAT’S NOT HOW I WANT MY PIZZA!!!” When I finally ate my pizza my pizza was not cut and the garlic rolls or whatever they are called, he claim he gave me for free, was hard. I have asked for half cheese and half pepperoni for years at a lot of restaurants and I have never seen one side pepperoni and one side pineapple. First I want to say that Round Table Pizza has always been my favorite. There's just something magical in their sauce, that those who know, understand. On my first visit to the Discovery Bay location on New Years Day 2025, I was greeted by Goldy, who was very patient with my extensive order and additional custom requests. He and his brother are most gracious and helpful, and I would strongly recommend you giving them your business!!! Pizza lovers, you can't get any better. But they also have a lovely salad bar, the best wings you can find, excellent sandwiches, and the most genuinely appreciative service I've experienced in a very long time!!
