Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in California

I absolutely love sonic. I came here when I was just a little kid to get the shakes. I remember first time I tried them was in Kansas, Garden City.

I fell in love with this place. Back then I remember they use to come to your car with skates, but I have come this this one twice and I haven't seen them do that.

I love the style of this fast food place. It is very different than any other fast food restaurant I am use too. They have a drive-thru and drive-in.

The drive thru is like any other drive-thru where you just drive up and order your food. The drive-in is a little different. You find a parking space and drive-in.

There are menus on both sides of the windows. One of the them is a food menu and the other is a shake menu. They have so many shakes to choose from.

You can even custom make one if you like. They make your shake anyway you want it. Just ask for it and they make it. FYI:They have happy hour after 8!

I drove in to one of the spots and saw the menu. There was so much to choose from. Everything looked so good and mouth watering.

I tried the Super Sonic double bacon cheeseburger with tater tots. When they asked me if I wanted fries or tater tots I knew I had to try the tater tots. They were bomb!!! My husband also really enjoyed the bite of my burger he stole.

He chose the chili cheese hot dog and baja jalapeno hot dog. He gave me a bite of each and I thought they were so good. The food was amazing.

We went on a busy night and there were a lot of cars. When I pressed the button it took them about 5 minutes to respond. I though it was broken, but when he finally responded he apologized for the wait.

He took our order and was very nice over the speaker. We paid with a card and you just slide it under the menu and you are all done.

The food was ready in about 15 minutes. Last time I came it was faster but like I said it was a busy night. The food was hot and it was so good.

Corporate sonic needs to investigate this place. Every time I go here they don't serve thru the drive up stalls they always say we only serve thru the drive thru..after waiting in a drive up stall for over 10 min to get that notice. Then I proceed to the drive thru to order a shake and I'm told the ice cream machine is down . I only live less then a 1/4 mile from this location. I now drive to another location that 3 miles away because there customers service is way more superior to the Sonic on Niles Street. Also the employees at that location is only there for the pay check they don't care about customer service at all. The avg wait to to almost anything at this location is more then 15 min. One time I waited 20 min in the drive thru for a slushes and there was only one other car in front of me . However by seeing the 3.5 review rating u can tell Sonic don't care as long as they get there franchise fee they turn the other way. The store is dirtu there heless people all around. The dumpster look like it hasn't been dump in a month I'm surprised the health department hasn't shut this place down. UPDATE I did what was said to do by the person that answers these reviews, however it falls on deaf ears. I called and visit the website and.left a note all I got back was " Thank you for your note we will look into your complaint and get back to you" that was 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything back from the Sonic Corporation so that tells me they don't care about there customers they just care that the $ comes in to fill there spockets filthy pockets of u don't want to get sick or what 30min for your food or wait 30min in the drive thru just for them to tell u the ice cream machine is not working then be my guest and go to this Sonic if u want to go to a Sonic that's clean and has awese customers service then go to the...

UPDATE! 1/30/2021!! Literally just had the worst experience and customer service at Sonic at Niles. Rachel messed up my order so I looped back around to get it fixed.... i waited in line and ate a few fries that were supposed to be tots. Honestly i figured no biggie. It's against policy to bring food back in after handing it off. She took it back and asked if I ate any and I answered yes. She started being difficult blaming her non listening ears on us. At that point I said I'll just pay for the right order then and to hand it back since she was "just going to throw it away " and i was going to pay for the right order and already paid for the eaten one. She charged my card and I asked for customer service #. She refused and while I was calling the number I found it was to that location and the other employee grabbed the phone saw it was me calling and mocked me with her! I pulled out my phone to record and she ran off in the back. I again asked for customer service # and she again refused and when i asked the name of the 2nd employee she acted dumb, said she's refusing my service and shut the window on our face. NEVER EVER HAVE I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE HERE. Very disappointed in the customer service and appalled it was so easy for them to be a** holes.

ORIGINAL REVIEW It's next to my house so it's super convenient..only draw back is the wait in line. Sometimes I find it be faster pulling into a stall. I absolutely love Sonic's food. But this location will have you waiting...
