Sadly, we drove quite a ways to spend a night at Tachi Palace Casino. We were not really impressed with anything about it. The parking is horrible, especially if you are a guest at the hotel. If you park in the back you have to walk all the way around the front. If you park in the front you have to walk all the way across the front of the casino to get to the hotel. Very guest unfriendly. We did not really get a comfortable Vibe about anything here. The staff was not very friendly at all. As soon as we walked in the door the security people tried to stop us, and turn us around to walk back out to another entrance to the hotel instead of just walking through the casino. Then when I came back in another security person stopped me and forced me to stand in front what appeared to be a facial recognition camera. I had to move back and forth several times so he could supposedly take my temperature. We travel the country constantly, and I have never had to do this at one place until now. The rules and regulations seem very intrusive. I love the signs posted saying (We reserve the right search you and your bags at any point during your stay) It really gives you that - everyone that comes here is a possible terrorist feel about the place. I have never seen that anywhere before. The thousands of places we have stayed, have never experienced this type of environment, except maybe going through the border of mexico, or possibly through the TSA checkpoints at an airport! Terrible environment! Now I know how Andy Dufresne felt in Shawshank Redemption. We almost felt like we were working for them, and should be honored that they allowed us to even stay in this place. The people at the reservation desk are not very accommodating. We upgraded to the Executive Suite up on the 7th Floor which did not seem like a suite at all. The carpet is filthy, the room is not very well set up, the balcony is barely 2 ft wide so you can hardly stand out on it. The top drawer in the bedroom dresser was full of somebody else's garbage and had never been checked. There was nothing special about the room whatsoever. I don't believe I saw one person winning anything. It just seemed like the casino was capitalizing on the locals and the migrant Farm workers to support keeping the doors open, while they continue to expand every aspect of the compound, except of course customer friendly parking. Overall just a crappy atmosphere, and we will never return

We checked in on a Friday at 3:00 pm. No valet which is ok Asked for rooms near an elevator for my dad who had a disability. We ended up having two rooms on separate floors both which were literally the last room of the wing, farthest from the elevator. You literally could not be further. There is only one elevator at the center of the hotel wings so if you get unlucky like us, you’ll have to walk all the way to the last door on the wing (now picture this while coming to your room after having some drinks downstairs). Staff overall unfriendly, appear as if they don’t want to be there. You’ll be lucky if you get a good dealer who actually calls the count. Had better luck with table staff on Saturday night vs Friday night. If you card is isn’t working that well, they may not take the time to swipe you into the table games so you won’t accumulate your points. So keep an eye out if you want your points counted. Not many cocktail waiters, lines to get your own drinks will take you 20+ min on weekends EVEN if you are in the beers and canned drink bar. The Coyote grill was good, Friday they have a seafood buffet and if you don’t like seafood they have all you can eat prime rib (yum). 50 each person. Would recommend you wait for your salad and lobster tail get to the table before you get up to buffet stand because if you don’t plan right, you’ll end up with more food at your table than you can eat lol. Staff here were very good, no complaints. The rooms should have easier access to water/ fountains. 2nd floor, 3rd floor, 4th floor vending machines out of water, would be nice to have a community water dispenser. TV in room didn’t work, had to call for service twice. Don’t take the stairs, once in the stair well the door to get back into the hotel is locked . At the bottom is an energy only exit that will cause an alarm. Had to call my parents to come open the door for us as every level had them locked. For the price you pay for a room (in the weekend) not worth it. In my opinion there are better casinos such as the Chicken Ranch where I feel more valued as a patron than at Tachi unfortunately.

We've stayed at the hotel at the Tachi Palace twice, and mostly had a pretty decent time. The facility was clean, staff was friendly, food was decent. The problems we encountered (twice in the last year) would be quickly resolved if anyone in management were thinking, but they're not. I've never stayed at ANY hotel before where you can't figure out how to get in. There's a huge sign on the road, and the casino is well lighted, but it's impossible to figure out how to get into the hotel. No signage anywhere on "Hotel Entrance". There's a big plywood sign that says "Main Entrance" that leads into a plywood cave, but that's not it. Lots of portable fences making it impossible to get to what looks like the entrance. After driving around the building twice I just gave up and used the Valet entrance, only to find that they really didn't mean it when the sign read "Valet Only" since they don't have a valet any more. After finally solving that mystery we unloaded and I parked the car...in a swamp. Casino parking is a large well-lighted lot. It was full so I used the "hotel parking lot" they directed me to, across the street in a pothole infested gravel lot. It had rained so I had to be careful walking back to the hotel to avoid falling into one of the holes and drowning. Past the security guy with the temperature reader on a post. I'm tall so it pointed at my chest and since you can't tilt the reader I got to bend waaaaay down (sore back after all that driving) and I'm in. The room was very nice, clean, and no smoke. Dinner in the Coyote Cafe, and the food was good but the menu isn't accurate. They don't tell you everything you'll get with your dish, and I'd have probably ordered something else once I saw what my wife actually got instead of what she ordered. Again, this is easily solved, but looks like nobody cares.

Updating my review after my recent stay. Wife and I stayed a few days in the Xclusive Deluxe room which are the newly renovated rooms. We were both blown away by how nice the room was! To top it off both nights were free! Thank you Tachi. My only complaint is that there is no bar at the pool area. It was 105 degrees on the day that we stayed and a nice margarita or beer at the pool would have been nice. We also won 400 bucks in the casino. We had a great stay and plan to come back soon! Stayed here February 16th and 17th and here are my insights. When we arrived we were given our room, was kind of disappointed that we didn’t get a renovated room. Furniture was dirty and restroom was dated. Didn’t want to ruin the mood with my wife so I didn’t bring it up to the front desk. Was really looking forward to a nice dinner at coyote grille but it was closed due to a recent fire in the kitchen somewhere so we had dinner at Sunset Bar. The food was very good! Considering that it was casino food it was delicious! We gambled both nights but came home empty handed. Because we were new member la we were given some free play money and was comped 30 dollars of food which was nice. The real fun for my wife and I though was the red bud lounge! What a fun time we had on Saturday with the live band and strong drinks. Gorgeous bartenders serving up the drinks with a smile. This place saved the trip for us because we weren’t winning anything. Would definitely come back.

Took our gbabies to the movies to see Mufasa. It's never really crowded. The price for the movie and food is very reasonable. Easy to pay online and you pick your seats before you go.

It was an amazing place I was blown away by this place, I loved everything about it. The micheladas on point I had me 4.☺️👌🏼🤌🏼 Machines were paying or it was the vibe 😁🥰... (One of the Ladies at the bar area wasn't all that courteous and or friendly. Not sure what her name was I even tipped her and didn't even say thank you. Ps. More training for customer service or new employees needed in that area.)
