Taqueria la Playa — Restaurant in California

Well to start off with the lady in front had horrible customer service. I’m always ordering the same and only thing I ever order from this restaurant! A whole bean, cheese, rice AND CREMA burrito and about 7 out of 10 times they always mess up or “don’t here me” say it. So I go back in to let them know NICELY that they forgot the crema once again, and she states I never ordered it with crema. She began to have an attitude the more I stated that I always order the same thing and this includes the crema. Instead, of nicely dealing with the issue it took quite a few back and forth statements before she took the burrito to make it again. And with every statement it was always her denying what I had ordered. It was just horrible way to handle it. Remember the customer is always right even if they aren’t. But I know I was right my husband had even heard me say crema but of course they never hear! This lady was not up to par with customer service I will be calling the store manager and speaking with them. Just be sure to check your order while your there before you leave. And next time I go I will speak loud enough so they hear me!

P.s I work in customer service I know how to treat customer they need more training it...

This dirty restaurant is unsanitary. We sat on dirty chairs, with rotted food on the floor that was not swept up. I simply ordered a 'Bean & Cheese' burrito, and it was horrible. The tortilla was old or hard, or both. I've had better, and of quality burritos served piping hot from a Taco truck. This restaurant served me a pre-made burrito that they microwaved, before serving it to me and it was warm to the touch, and the cheese was not thoroughly melted inside. Just a dirty experience. The dilverware wad visibly, disgustingly dirty. I can't say enough about how I despise how others will rave about a rathole that has great good. These are people that have no clue as to quality food, and it really makes you wonder if they eat food that has fallen on the floor in their very own kitchens- if they even have one. Just a downright dirty Mexican restaurant, and all of these 3rd world Mexican restaurants are dirty dumps. I was scared to even eat the 'Chips & Salsa' after learning of how [all] Mexican restaurants 'R E C Y C L E' the chips & 'S A L S A' - jeopardizing you with a potential Hepatitus A or B exposure- scary, and or, sickening- You've been forewarned- Eat there at...

You can't go into any town in California and not find good Mexican food, which is good for those of us who love it. Though because good Mexican food is so easy to find, what separates the places that are okay from the ones you go back to are the little things. They have an incredible assortment of salsas, and at clearly marked varying levels of heat. They also make really amazing beans. Not some keg sized pre fab beans, but they have a more rustic consistency which shows me they truly made these themselves. They're also very good. Shrimp fajitas are the best thing on the menu, a really good char on the onions and peppers and shrimp cooked with tails on to enhance the flavor. Not here often but always...
