Dinner with friends. Last night we invited our friends for dinner at the Oaks Grille where we had gone before, and that time service was poor, the food was over and under cooked between the four meals. I did not respond in writing at that time. But last night I think people should know what they might be in for. I witnessed at a table with about a dozen people where the server/ waitress was taking their menus, and stated this was an old menu. I could see only one side of the menu had print, but this was after people were starting to order their dinner. I checked our menus and it showed to be correct. We put in our dinner order and gave the menus back to the server. After about 15 to 20 mins. one of my guests was told the item he ordered was no longer available, ok right? Another 5 to 10 mins. pass the server comes back very embarrassed and again states the other item was also not available. By now the other two party's that came in 15 to 20 mins. after us were starting to be served. When our meals finally did show up one meal was undercooked and my wife's meal was not there. As the clocked ticked we waited for my wife's meal. At this point I had enough, got up form the table and expressed my disappointment with the late dinner and lack of good restaurant etiquette. Both of my guest are world travers and enjoy a good meal with good service. My wife and I come from fathers who loved to cook, one French the other Italian who had a fine restaurant, so we both have a taste for great food and service. By the time my wife's meal showed up the other tables that came in after us were staring to leave done with their meal, as we started to eat our now cold dinner. On a good note our server/waitress was nice and showed to be sensitive to our situation, and offered a free desert on which we did decline. My meal was a good pizza, and my wife said her meal was very good. If this restaurant cared about good service where was the manager our server claimed to have talked to? For items on the menu but not available, cold food, lack of communication makes a very poor dinning experience again....

We returned this evening for dinner and Tammy was our server again.. Great smile, personality and customer service. My wife had a Don Julio Blanco and soda with 3 limes and I ordered a cup of broccoli cheddar soup which was so so good.. Then the entrees as my wife ordered the Chicken Marsala and I had the California Melt recommended by Dalton another amazing server and great recommendation. The entertainment was superb and we enjoyed the time and the ambiance with a view of the golf course.. Highly recommended and guess what they serve and amazing breakfast menu as well.. Check them out..
4/3/2022 Great find and nice time. The wife and I decided to head to Ramona a few days after my surgery and we had a late lunch at Oaks Grill which was fantastic. First of all they have a terrific menu and amazing service. Yes, Tammy and Jericho were stellar and quite attentive and informative. The drinks were thirst quenching delights and the starter salad fresh and tasty. My wife had the smashburger with delightful sweet potato fries and I had the chicken Marsala with mashed potatoes and asparagus...oh baby...so so good. The view, the ambiance, the array of food choices and the service are all worthy of praise and mention. We highly recommend and will certainly be back. Kudos to the staff and management on a finely tuned, well run and apparently successful restaurant and get this, they have entertainment on Thursday evenings. Go and...
Read moreI want to like this place. Hell as a homeowner here I'm basically a shareholder. But if I'm honest, the place is a big disappointment outside of their pretty decent burgers or pizza. Employees do not appear to be happy in the Oaks Grille side. The bartenders in the Par Lounge are more energetic by far. But the feeling I got from our server at the Oaks Grille tonight was that she was either in over her head, doesn't care, or is too tired to fake it anymore. Basically couldn't take my wife's dessert order, said it back to her wrong twice then still brought the wrong thing. Maybe after all the renovation work is done this summer a different crowd of members will drive some changes, I don't know, but I'd like to see someone spruce up the decor and service because it is all coming off a bit tired. Food was average to below average, about what you would expect at a roadside diner or maybe a quality truck stop restaurant. Not clear what the difference is in the dining experience between bar and restaurant, should be less bar food and more entrees available in the restaurant. Price to quality and portion size ratio is poor. In all, I'd say I'll be sticking with appetizers, pizza, or burgers in the Par Lounge until I see that changes are made.
Note:. I have not yet tried the brunch, I will update the...
