The Ridge Bar & Grill leaves a lot to be desired. I have been for lunch four months ago and dinner tonight. For lunch, service was incredibly slow even though only 25% of the restaurant was full and the restaurant is not large by any means. I ordered the Mediterranean salad and it was bland and mostly romaine lettuce. My friend ordered the Southwest chicken salad and had a similar experience. We were checked on once within 3 minutes of getting our food, then never again except for the check. Our glasses sat emptied after the first 20 minutes. Our entire dining experience was 1 1/2 hours. I couldn't even get any wait staff's attention, they were nowhere to be found. I KID YOU NOT!!!
We decided to give it one more chance with dinner tonight. It was a celebratory dinner too, so we hoped for a pleasant evening. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Three of us ordered the Jax burger, 2 with no buns, 2 medium, 1 medium rare, no onions on one of them and 2 with no croutons. We have Celiac diseases and on keto. Not any part of those requests were met, not 1!!! In addition, my daughter ordered a chicken Caesar salad and she couldn't eat it cause the chicken was caked in black pepper. Our waitress appeared to be stoned or on something because she was very vacant and didn't listen to a thing we said. The only thing she got right was our drink order. There was only 1 other table being served and our order took over 30 minutes after waiting 20 minutes to have our order taken. It could be because she was too busy flirting with the bar patrons. I can assure you that you will have a better experience and evening somewhere else in Auburn. This was not worth it by...
Read moreThis is kind of Auburn's secret hideaway. It's a golf course and most people would not think that it's a open to the public restaurant and bar. I went in there and met the bartender / waitress named Shannon. What a really nice lady. Great spirit great attitude and she was all over managing the bar and she had some tables in the restaurant as well. It's a nice venue and overlooks the golf course. I sat at the bar and had a drink at lunch time and ordered food and sat there and had Shannon serve me. The food came out fast and was really good and plentiful. I was pretty damn surprised for a golf course. But the management needs to do is the place is sign down at the road saying that the golf course is open to the public as well as the bar and restaurant. I'm sure they could generate way more revenue and customers if they had a sign out there advising people going up that it's a public facility. Again a nice environment and Shannon did a great job and the...
Read moreWent for PHS Football Banquet. The food was great. The bartenders are very nice and knowledgeable about what they care... but they need to add Root beer to the drink list... I love Root beer with vanilla vodka.. And the bartenders are heavy handed if you ask them not to be... I am going to try and find things to go there for.. other than golf.. I don't like regular golf. I prefer mini. So I go to Roseville or Carmichael for that... maybe a little bit of good teenage fun.. Healthy teenage fun... Dances for all the Auburn area kids once or twice a month. Maybe so other fun entertainment.. More concerts. More social...
