Trendsetters Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Calumet Township

So this is my second time ordering with them. First time around great experience, food delish & they even called me when my food was ready. However However today the food took an hour to be prepared ! My husband was waiting in front for almost 30 minutes without anyone asking if they could help him etc. I had to call to find out what was going on with the food even though he was there in person. Last time I ordered the same meal as today, it came with fries. Today it did not and they forgot my side order of avocado. However I was not upset because i got potato salad and habichuelas on the side, so i figured it was either because of the wait or because they had no fries idk. That feeling quickly left my body when I took a bite of the beans and they tasted like straight liquor. Being 7 months pregnant, I know what i was tasting you could even smell it. To make sure i wasn’t imaging things had two people in my household try it and they said the same. Normally i would not care but being pregnant it was upsetting. This place needs to be investigated & shut down expeditiously!!! Beware of “Deceptive fees or junk fees!” The owner is highly unprofessional & really slick in my opinion based off of my experience & the things I am now hearing from others. He’s false advertising from his menu compared to the receipt 🧾 price. It says one price on the menu & then you’re up charged $3 to $4 for an item(s). Charges are suppose to be fully disclosed on the menu before hand! Not when your meal is over with; now you come with all these hidden fees. When I inquired about the faulty charges on my receipt and requested to speak with the owner, he stated “That his pricing is subject to change.” I said, well that should be stated on your menu and it isn’t, can you give me the menu and I will show you. He refused. Food took over an hour to be served just for it to taste horrible and it wasn’t hot. I used to hear great things about this place but over the years I haven’t heard anything. Got mini loaves for pastels that were raw on the inside that owner acknowledged Jibarito the meat tasted old n was tough The bowl of?when asking owner what's in there he said old food they throw 2gether that's y it's $6

We sent everything back except fry n 2 sodas They were supposed 2 refund my $45 bill

I should of only been Charged 2 soda n a fry Fry was good Still waiting on refund
