Blessed Boutique and Resale Shop — Local services in Calumet Township

WARNING!!! They are thieves. I had the most unprofessional and harrowing experience when dealing with "Al" and "Alma" of the Blessed Boutique and Resale Shop. They misrepresented themselves as working with a particular company I was referred to, but they, in fact, were not a part of that organization. I needed a house cleaned out after selling my father's home. They offered to clean out 2 areas for $1200, I gave them $800 cash - $400 for the dumpster rental and $400 for half payment for their fee. Because it was late Saturday evening, Alma told me she couldn't order the dumpster until Monday. Because I was from out-of-town and time was an issue, I was going to use them to support a black-owned business. However, 3 hours after giving them money, I was told my the new owners that I did not need that service. Immediately contacted them to let them know that I no longer needed that service and when could we meet to get my refund. She refused to give me a refund and said they already ordered the dumpster (at 7:30 pm on a Saturday) and could not give me my money back. I again requested a refund for services NOT RENDERED. Stated they would right over to give me what "they had left". They never showed. They ghosted all my phone calls. Their mother even ghosted my phone calls. They stole my money and they are okay with that. Know that they are NOT trustworthy and are nefarious. There is nothing blessed about their business practices. BEWARE. I will be taking them to Small Claims Court for my $800 plus court costs and attys fees. I actually gave them "0" stars but I had choose one to post...

I've passed this resale shop and decided to stop in and check it out. The establishment is neat and well organized.

I was fortunate enough to chat with the owner and it was a pleasure. The young man that was working was polite and friendly. They answered every question asked and was very genuwine. They were featured in the Christo Events Magazine special edition. ...

They may possibly have something similar to what u may be looking for...possibly...but definitely came out the trash whatever it is u find n there and they will literally tax u for the trash...😮‍💨...2 words...strange awkward...not 1 star tho 🙄....this not the type of place u say "thank u" when u leave...u just leave or say...alright....no...ight...because...
