China Wall — Restaurant in Calvert City

It was super yummy. We ordered the dragon Phoenix, shrimp fried rice, pork lo mein, crab Rangoon, spring rolls, and egg rolls. The food was hot when I ate it, 2 hours after ordering bc I kept the bag tight. The egg rolls are hugeeee. Great casing, a bit bland and overly cabbage-y interior. The spring rolls are ok. Their rice is perfect. The dragon and phoenix was yummy and their crab Rangoon was pretty standard. The only odd part is the lo mein. The best way to describe it is that it’s really good BUT the noodles taste exactly like chef boyardee canned spaghetti noodles. Went there 1 time about 4 years ago & never will again. My 1st and last time! Not 1 other customer was there. I was told they were only doing take out. ( This was NOT during the pandemic.) Ok, so I ordered 3 meals for take out. Waited 45 minutes. The place was hot, filthy, the service was awful, very unfriendly, and the food was unedible. The lady ( co-owner I assume) got her kids food and served them and set out food for she and the cook ( husband I assume). She acted like me ordering nearly $50 in food was an inconvenience to her. If I'd noticed how nasty the floors and environment were before I ordered, I'd have walked out. $50 went in the trash....

Probably one of the best Chinese places in Marshall County. The chicken on a stick is so deliciously juicy, and tender. The sesame chicken is so tangy and flavorful. The vegetable lo mein makes me want to weep with joy. Have probably eaten food from this place far more often than I should, but it's just so good. And the people who work there have always been so kind, and quick when ordering food, not just dine-in but for take out as well.
