Armando's Pizza — Restaurant in Cambridge

This is one of those rare gems you find tucked away in a little neighborhood a little off the beaten path but right next to the bus stop. This family owned restaurant has been around for 51 years! Armando passed the place down to his daughter and you will often find her son Mike (see photo) behind the counter making the pizzas and subs. If you dine in you might be surprised at how many people he knows on a first name basis. But unlike so many local places you will feel like family even if you are from out of town or even out of state! We had the Sicilian pizza and it was a perfect balance between thick crust and yet still had that crispy crust. The chicken parmesan sandwich was also a hit providing not just dinner but lunch the next day because it was so big! We also had the classic Italian sub, antipasto, and the pasta fagioli soup. Go prepared they only take cash but they do have an ATM machine on-site...

Best pizza and subs in Cambridge. Been going here since I was a kid and haven't had a bad experience yet. Pizza is a more thin crust Italian style and the toppings are plentiful. The subs always have nice fresh soft bread with fresh veggies/toppings. A few of my favorites are their Italian sub which can't be beat. Their meatballs are very good. Whether you order them alone with pasta or on a sub you won't be disappointed. Last but definitely not least is their pizza! Sadly I moved out of Cambridge a few years back and anytime I am in the area I make a point to stop an grab at least a slice. My favorite is the chicken pizza with pepperoni being a close second.
