We went to this playground as a group on a Cotting school trip. We had a lot of fun! We had 2 friends in wheelchairs and our other friends were walking with their legs. Here are our pros for the playground: *The wooden tunnel was cool. You could rest and relax there in the shade and a wheelchair fits inside. *There were two sized play structures. One had a roller slide that was smaller and the other was a tree house that had a big slide. The tree house structure was accessible for wheelchairs. The whole playground had bridges and ramps with railings. This helped our friends who needed help walking or used wheelchairs, to get into the play structures. *There were many types of swings at the playground. There were ones that wheelchairs can drive onto and there are tie downs to keep the chairs safe. There were also swings that secured you in and there were regular swings. *There were 2 different kinds of spinning swing/structures. One fits wheelchairs and the other is for friends who can sit on the swing. *There was also a section of the playground that had musical instruments to play. There was a xylophone you could play with sticks and wheelchairs fit under it, so anyone could use it. *The whole playground had a soft, squishy, bumpy ground. This was great because one of our friends fell and she didn't get hurt because the ground was safe.
Cons of the playground: *When climbing up into the tree house structure, be careful if you are someone who is tall because our friend bumped her head. Make sure you look up before climbing in. *The accessible spinning structure/swing wasn't big enough for one of our friends's wheelchair. If you have a big wheelchair it might not be big enough for you to fit on. *There is a cool water section (splash pad) but it is still closed in May (middle of May) when we went. We hope it is open maybe in June!
Overall: *We had fun and thought it was very accessible for most people! We loved that all our friends could...
