Where to start I have always loved this restraunt but today was the last time I will step foot in that door. I ordered a grilled ham and cheese and anyone who knows how to make these they are made with thin ham and cheese and grilled like a normal grilled cheese would be. Well they threw a huge thick chunk of country ham in the sandwich the cheese wasn't even melted and it was not what a grilled ham and cheese should be. I just wasn't going to eat it and leave it at that. One of the waitresses asked if aomw5hing was wrong and I told her that ham was too thick and I didn't want it. She got the plate and took it off. Another waitress brought it back demanding to know what exactly was wrong with it. I told her the same thing. The ham was too thick and I didn't eat ham like that my husband informed her we would still pay for the meal and she snatched the ticket off the table scribbled it out and slammed the ticket back on the table. Very rude all because I wasn't going to eat it. As we were sitting there there was a leak from the roof as well and it leaked water right into my drink. That place is falling apart and they are hiring awful and rude waitresses and it's sad because it used to be one of my favorite places to...

While working nearby, a friend introduced us to this restaurant. We have been back at least 5 more times since for lunch with times ranging from early lunch, straight up 12:00 and even a late lunch at almost 1:30. The parking lot may look full, but they have plenty of room and will get you in and out! They have an excellent menu for a plate lunch with several veggies to choose from, or you can pick the dessert. ALL the servers help each other and all are friendly. They take the time to come check on you, fill your tea or get what you need regardless of who took your order. I counted at least 6 servers on a average day, possibly more. Plate lunch menu varies from day to day and so far we have tried at least 3 or 4 different meals. All were very good!! So good that I ventured off with my wife for lunch one day. My family enjoys going to this restaurant. They have menu options, but we almost always order 1 of their lunch specials. They usually offer 2 or 3 main course options for their specials & several side options. My favorite by far is the roast beef. Unfortunately, they rarely offer it. My husband loves the meatloaf. Our son loves the chicken & dressing & the mashed potatoes & gravy. They open early in the morning, but also close very early. So, if you're hoping for a dinner/supper here you're out of luck. The restaurant is usually busy & crowded. Prices are reasonable. Staff is usually very good, providing quick & accurate service. Most of the time the atmosphere is comfortable, but occasionally when the restaurant is very busy it gets a bit hot. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good home cooked...
