La Loma Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Camden

We're a group of nurses who've worked together and have been friends for over 40 years. We try & meet at least every couple of months. When we get together, we like to try different restaurants. LA Loma was recommended & it was a good decision. It was clean & although it seemed there was just one server, we were seated immediately. Drinks ordered & delivered. We were talking & catching up, maybe a little noisily. Hearing impaired as one ages. Chips & salsa delivered eapidly. Once our drinks were served, Chips were warm, as if they'd been cooked, recently. Quesa dip was delicious. The restaurant is small, so we interacted with other clients, as to eat they were eating, what they recommend. I had the lunch taco salad. It was good, nicely served & at correct temperature. My friends had different items & we all tried each others food. We visited for some time & it wasn't a problem. Usually, as soon as the food is consumed, one is given the impression, move on.& it's understandable. It's a business & they need the turnover. That wasn't an issue here. I ordered a small guacamole to put my chips in to see how it taste a small now and then I received this one thing guacamole with my chips and it was just guac well avocado anyway and cilantro no tomato onions no even jalapeños, which I don’t mind if they didn’t put that in there, but it was cilantro and avocado smashed together and I brought it back to him and I said it’s missing the tomatoes and stuff and they told me I didn’t order the right guacamole because there’s two guacamole and then I got this one that look like chunky vegetable something. I’m not sure I took pictures so you’ll see and you tell me… and spent $81.00 for three people and some change I will likely not go back because the Mexican restaurant supposed to be able to make guacamole right and the first time and it went in and we got over...

I had the Ranchero and cheese quesadillas. The Ranchero was excellent definitely one of the best I've ever had. The onions and peppers were actually grilled/caramelized and they had shreaded cheese on top in addition to their signature cheese dip. The cheese quesadillas were also great; the cheese was nice and gooey on the inside.

Our waitress service was great also. She was very helpful and attentive. I don't remember her name but she said she sometimes goes by "Slim Shady" 😆.
