Bamboo Café — Restaurant in Camden

I loved this place, see my original post below. However the last few times I have come in, it took longer to get waited on, longer to get food. The last time I went in I was sat for 30 minutes before I got my spring rolls, usually they are out in 5. My Pho was not as good as usual, seems like it had been sitting for a while before it was served. And the plate of bean sprouts that comes with the pho was underwhelming. I had 1/3 of the sprouts I normally get, one small end piece of a lime. This would all be ok at a cheap pho place, however this is a $40 a person place. I expect more, and used to get it. Not sure what’s going on, but I hope they fix it.

Very surprising to find such an authentic tasting Vietnamese restaurant in such a town as this. Ok, I will admit, Vietnamese cuisine in Camden....🤔..... We took a shot and I’m glad we did...

The food: Light and filling Not overly salty Appears to be made to order rather than out of a batch scooped onto your plate. Fast : 15mins to-go order was ready... A plus for sure! Received everything we ordered and didn’t have to check the food before I left.

Restaurant/Staff: Chill vibe even at the bar Clean Presentation Seems like a good place to have a drink after work with your friends. Using Ipads to take orders is a plus... Keeps errors down in the ordering process. Staff appeared to be in the ball and very attentive to the customer that they were with rather than allowing themselves to get interrupted.

Suggestions: Apple Pay, Android Pat, Google Pay.... Guest WiFi Outside seating for after dinner coffee, drink, and/or dessert. Front Host was kissing and caused confusion for a few of us when...

This is truly a hidden gem!! Everything is made fresh. The food quality and freshness are outstanding. The wait staff was extremely helpful. Not having ever eaten Vietnamese food my family had several questions. "Missy" was able to answer all our questions without hesitation and was able to make wonderful recommendations. I am a big fan of spicy food and asked for my meal to be spicy. When my dish arrived there was a nice spicy heat and loaded with flavor. The meats melt in your mouth and the noodles soak up all the flavor in the bamboo cafe special lo mien dish.
