Cannot give Megunticook enough stars! Last Sunday they catered our wedding in Northport, ME and we cannot begin to express the level of professionalism, deliciousness, and sheer perfection that Lani, Rachel, and their entire team bring to the table. First of all, we originally had another caterer but it fell through and Megunticook was then recommended to us. They worked with us so beautifully and executed our vision of a bistro burger bar and lobster rolls so perfectly. Not only did they cater the wedding but did last minute catering for the days leading up to it. We got a lot of different things from them throughout the wedding weekend and everything was perfect and very reasonably priced! On the day of the ceremony (and every other day in fact) Rachel shined like an absolute goddess. Along with managing the day, she also acted as our personal server, ensuring that we were able to stuff our faces with food/wine while getting pics taken after the ceremony. She and the cooks/staff at Megunticook made our wedding perfect, providing excellent and delicious Maine cuisine, along with rustic decorations that complimented our theme. Fairly disappointed by my recent and first visit here, more so because I was looking forward to it. Ordered my sandwiches through their website online ordering feature. Time was selected for 20-25 minutes. Arrived in store, no one greeted about the order. Asked about it, and they hadn’t made them yet. Proceeded to then say they had no meatball. Okay. My number was given with the order. So it would have been nice to receive a call in advance to say “we’re sorry but we are currently out of meatballs is there something else you would like to select for this order.” Finally an option for a spare sandwich is selected. While they’re making them the employees are complaining about not having any time off and haven’t had a day off in over a month. They then hand me one sub, so I had to ask where my other two were. Absolutely ridiculous. Being as busy as this things maybe need to be delegated better. Or maybe some time off to refresh. Or cut off online orders if they can’t take on the orders online with people...
