This place is just alright. To be honest, I suspect if it were not one of very few restaurants in the area, they would have to try a lot harder. I know the only reason I still patronize the place is because there are not any others this close to my home. The food is pretty decent, with one exception that I have found, and that is if you call in your order, or place it to go, 90% of the time your fries WILL be undercooked. If you want them done properly, you need to request that they be cooked “well-done,” otherwise you are going to end up paying for fries you can’t eat anyhow. That is, unless you happen to enjoy half cooked fries. I don’t understand this, I have worked in the restaurant/hospitality business for many years, and fries are so simple to make. They also don’t do to customers who dine in, so it is happening intentionally, which is even worse. The only thing I can figure is that the cook is rushing the orders out, and just doesn’t care that customers are forking over their hard earned money for undercooked food. Don’t expect an overly friendly welcome when you arrive either, at times I feel like I am bothering the workers just by showing up. My favorite thing about this diner is the tea, but forget about actually getting any after 7pm, they never have any and I have never...

5 Stars - I've Seen the Light (and It's Covered in Chili and Cheese)

Okay, The Dog House... where have you been all my life?? I finally rolled through the drive-thru (because let's be honest, I wasn't getting out of the car with this humidity), and let me tell you -- my taste buds did a happy dance and then asked me why I took so long to visit.

I ordered a chili cheese burger with fries and slaw, and baby, that combo slapped. I'm talking messy, cheesy, juicy goodness that made me question every other burger I've ever had. The crew at the window? Sweet as tea on a Sunday porch. Friendly, fast, and all smiles -- which is rare these days when you're not even stepping inside.

A couple pro tips: They charge a small fee for card use -- no biggie, just bring cash and save the change for extra fries. And get this -- 10 hot dogs or corn dogs for $12. I mean... what in the recession-proof snack pack is this blessing?

Anyway, don't be like past me -- go now. Your stomach will thank you, and so will your wallet. The Dog House? More like Top Dog in my book.

I had to call them and tell them how amazing my visit was! My tastes buds are...

I had found this hole in the wall place after by best friend's memorial service. I have found, over the years, that looks can be deceiving. This hotdog joint appears to be just the run of the mill, small town restaurant. I pulled into the parking lot. The small parking lot was nearly full. I wasn't sure where the front door was. I had parked by the dumpster. It was the only space left. I took that as a great sign. I walked all around the building to get inside. As I opened the door I noticed they only had about 5 or 6 tables, that were being used at the time. There is a bar to eat at. I did not want to eat at the bar since everyone had to stand behind a few of the stools to order and pay. For this small town, country girl, I highly recommend this restaurant. The chili is great! The staff was very nice and helpful. When you order, they write your order number on the side of your cup. They will call that number out when your order is ready. You go the the bar to be handed your tray. Seat wherever you want. Great place. If I find myself in the area again, I will be sure to stop and...

Hole in the wall lady bringing food out seems like she has issues very rude dog was decent if u can deal with poor service just to be clear I said nothing about someone's looks it was the service that made my visit poor . The lady that was serving had an attitude and while I was waiting in line to order (had not yet said a word to anyone except asking the guy that works for me what he was eating ) the lady that was bringing food out brushed against the guy that worked for me out of her way as I payed for my order as he was standing behind me . When she brought food out she seemed ill and you could tell by how she dropped food off . I ate there cause I enjoy going to places like that and wanna try somthing new also was working in the area. But my hot dog was good . That response to my comment wasn't professional from one business owner to another. Constructive criticism is the best I usually ask for it to better my business

My order: Sprite with the awesome crushed ice, Carolina burger, Carolina hotdog (mustard, onion, slaw and chili.) The food was amazing. It was prepared fast and served hot. It actually came out in a dog bowl which was surprising yet hilarious! The staff was timely and friendly. The environment was inviting and relaxed. The patio area was where I chose to enjoy the meal. Walking out to the patio and seeing an open air and shady (screened in) view of the fall foliage was a nice experience. With graffiti on the tables, walls and chairs was a nice touch. It makes for a fun environment for children to leave bits of art while dining. The graffiti definitely has stories to tell with some I spotted dating as far back as 2016. Not sure if "Billy Bob and Charlene" are still in love or not, but it was a nice touch. Pumpkins are also for sale as well, so support local and give it a try!

Outstanding free-standing yumminess! Passing thru to Table Rock State Park. Lured in by the ice-cream, then the burgers. Clean, nice, not-chain food. I had the Jalapeño burger and it was amazing and tasty. My bride stuck with ice cream idea; hand spun real shakes, a spoon is faster than a straw because they use so much real ice cream. Based on the warnings about cleats and spikes, don’t try to go on a home-game night in any season! Great tasty foods.
