Lawsons Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Cannelton

My wife and I visited Lawsons for the first time on 02/13/2023. Always passed it by but this time we stopped there to get something to eat. Walked in and sat at a table and the bartender/cook/server came over and we asked for a menu. She said we wouldn't need one because all we could order was a burger, side or appetizer. Really? We should have left then but we stayed. We ordered the cheese cube appetizer. It was just ok. No flavor to them. The side of ranch was also bland and slightly watery. The bartender/cook/server left before I had a chance to ask her for a fork or something because the cheese cubes were the size of marbles. Hard to dip in ranch and not get all over your fingers. We ordered 2 cheeseburgers with fries. Burgers were very tasteless. No seasoning. They were preformed patties like JTM burgers you get at Sam's. The consistency of the meat was not appetizing. My wife picked up her burger and said the buns were ice cold. You mean you can't toss them on the grill for a minute or two to warm them up? By then it didn't matter to us. We gave Lawson's a try but were very disappointed. First impressions are very important to us and Lawson's failed. Definitely...

Interesting their hours say until 9pm. That probably should be updated. We showed up at 7:05pm and were turned away because they were closed but the door was unlocked and people were inside. My suspicion is that they didn't feel like serving us because business was very slow and they wanted to close early. Can't speak for the food or service but don't show up after dark or you...

I can’t believe that I stopped here for breakfast. My wife and I ordered off of the menu in the bar. We got our food on little tiny plates that you would serve a cat’s food on. Both of our plates were very bad and we didn’t finish them. I calculated that our purchase would be $10. When I had to ask another bar tender/ waitress for my bill , she said $15 ! Never going...
