My wife and I recently moved and we’ve been eating out the past week. We were told of this little gem of a restaurant last night so we stopped and ordered. The food was FANTASTIC! If you like southern home cooked food this is the place for you! The food and desserts we ordered CAN NOT BE BEAT! I have to say that I’m not one for eating out because I always find I’ve been overcharged for food that I could’ve cooked better at home. I can NOT say this about this Lil Gem. Their food was awesome, the service we received was impeccable. Everyone was nice, friendly and helpful. The owners had a little girl that was a delight to talk to while we waited. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them only good. If you want good food good service and a cute lil girl to entertain you while you wait THIS is the place to go!! Sorry I have no photos as we ate everything we ordered!!!!! 10 stars...
Read moreWhen I tell you, this is a DO NOT MISS restaurant! When headed home north on Hwy 55 in the Canton area I googled good eats and LUCKILY Marlo's popped up. Just about 3 miles off the interstate we followed our navigation to a wonderful surprise! It was Sunday, and they only have a "Sunday special"...pick a meat, three sides, bread and dessert for $13.99 from a huge list of options. WHATTT??!! There were 4 of us and a baby and EVERYTHING we ordered was amazing! Best meal we've eaten in a long time. Perfect southern soul food. Fried chicken for me, meat loaf for my husband. Both were A+++ My son had pork chops, said they were great and DIL loved her fried fish! It's walk up style once inside, order, pay, sit down and they bring it to you. I wish i had snapped pics of our plates, so much food! Everyone was so sweet. We will likely make the 2 hr drive back south to Canton to eat...
Read moreDefinitely the worst “BBQ” if you can even call it that that I’ve ever had. I had the chicken and ribs. With fried okra, and baked beans. I landed on this option because the 10 combinations of orders I tried before that, they didn’t have. The chicken and ribs were obviously baked in an oven. And came to the table in a POOL of cold runny BBQ sauce. It was like chicken and rib soup. No ranch for the only thing on the plate that was decent (the okra) the beans were not good. The bread was days old and hard and stale. The Tea was completely sour and the restaurant was disgusting. This place needs to be shut down. 1000000 dead flies in the window seal and dirty tables when I got there literally as they just opened. I’m honestly blown away how the health inspector hasn’t shut...
